Mayor Rahm-Ney's Attack on the Chicago Teachers Union

Sep 13, 2012 Full story: Democracy Now 48

Unions are under attack in the United States-not only from people like Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin, but now, with the teachers strike in Chicago, from the very core of President Barack Obama's inner circle, his former chief of staff and current mayor of that city, Rahm Emanuel.

When the leadership of the teachers' union in chicago attacks people because they have lisps and then jokes around about smoking weed, is when teachers need to drop OUT of the union.

She denigrates people.

She is shameful and anyone who supports her doesn't deserve to be in ANY classroom.

Can one imagine what this person would say to a handicapped child in her classroom?

How stupid do you think we are? This is a setup by Obama to funnel Federal money to Chicago in violation of th 10th Amendment. Rahm is doing what he is told.

Stay strong Unions. You better stick it to the taxpayers while you can. If your guy Obama is dethroned in November, stark reality may creep up on you just as it has on the rest of us. Your unfundable bonanzas may be a problem if America elects Leaders who care about leaving something worth having to our children besides Trillions in bone crushing DEBT.

What an unlikely alliance.

Rahm - dead fish - Emanuelle and Romney?

There's nothing like reality to make a corrupt, brain-dead and blind liberal like Rahm Emanuelle, suddenly see the light and grow a brain at the same time!

If a liberal lives long enough - no matter how stupid they are - they will become more and more Conservative. Hell must have frozen over!

Working people in this country are screwed no matter which party is in power. The only difference is that one party demonstrates its contempt for working people openly while the other party says they are the party of the working man but are in reality wall street shills!

Benny B had to support Obama. If Obama wins and America tumbles into Cuban Style Collectisim then Bernancke can go down in history as the LAST Fed Chair. Exciting times for those least interested in America's future!!!

This union needs to be under attack. I don't know of any company that pays its employees $76 thousand per year for six hours of work per day. Their health and welfare coverage is for the entire year even though they only work nine months.

In Chicago about 40% of public school students do not graduate. In this study only 15% of 4th graders tested on level.

Emanuel should be demanding that these jerks take a cut in pay, work 8 hours per day, and work a full year like the rest of us.

What a crock!!!!!

Yep, Unions have been in decline since the late 40's. They used to be 40% of the work force, but now only 14%. If your service is in demand, people use it.......apparently they have no clout or demand. They are in a death spiral and the union bosses are trying to save their big paychecks and bonus money......and the libs are trying to save their bank roll for buying elections.

That is his only goal......to destroy and bring America to it's knees. The people that voted for Obama the first time is understandable, the second time treasonable.

For Mitt Romney’s campaign, the outlook in the battleground states is even worse than the national polls.

According to a GOP source with access to private polling being done by independent Republican groups (who are spending a lot of money tracking public opinion in the battleground states), Romney is in trouble in two must-win states:

Ohio: Romney down 5 percent.

Virginia: Romney down 4 percent.

hahahahahahahahahaha

Make a few more idiot statements, rugby, and it'll be over by Halloween.

All the scum in the teachers unions need to be evaluated yearly and those who can`t make the grade along with the perverts and child molesters in the classroom be terminated immediately.

Chicago has one of the worst school systems in the country, but yet the highest paid teachers in the country, a seriously corrupt system and union at work. As you say they should be offered a pay cut like in half and few are probably worth that given the stats mentioned above and on the news. They are robbing the city taxpayers and don`t even need a gun.

The teachers and their unions always threaten the children with substandard teaching when they don`t get their way. Obviously most the teachers in Chicago are substandard making them lousy in the classroom anyways. This union needs to be broken.........And the lousy teachers terminated period.
