FDNY*EMS is not the only EMS pipes and drums birgade. Boston EMS also has one, which I believe was the first.

Would you expect the Bennington Banner to get anything right?

The FDNY unit is the only pipe group comprised solely of EMTs. Boston EMS has one piper, not a whole group.

What an honor guard.

A sad day for the area, but a nice tribute to a outstanding human being.
Horrible weather

I truly wish that the Bennington Banner would include in their reporting that there was a horrible quick storm that hit that afternoon. Over two inches of hail that hit Old Bennington and the West End.
Hail can hit the ground then melt very quickly.
It was truly a horrible hail storm. Drive thru Old Bennington and the West End and look closely at the hostas and ferns.

what does that have to do with the article? If you live there and were caught in it, why would you need a newspaper to tell you this?

The point Just Weather was trying to make (although I don't know why here in this article) was that the weather may be a contributing factor in this horrible crash... JMO

Condolences to his family and friends!

Was he the son of Adams favorite son and major league baseball player?
