Erica and i were very close i thought of her as a sister we met in 9th grade at clearwater high over the years we spent almost every weekend together... when she moved to odessa we started to spread apart then right before our junior year we had lunch and once again became close i am glad that we fixed things... erica was always a forgiving person, i loved to see her smile... erica was the type of friend that would be there for you no matter what. I miss her every second of everyday but i know she is in a better place, i'll see her again someday, i love you and i will never forget you Erica-Anne!!!
love always Holly Noel

Erica Hambsch was one of my best friends. She had so many things about her to love. She was so funny, and so beautiful. We played soccer together and had pretty much all classes together since the 9th grade. I told her everything about my life and she told everything about her. Her family loves her so much and Justin loves her just as much. I love you so much Erica you have no idea. Erica is hero to those kids that she saved..even thou its a sad thing for us..she will always be with us through them and our hearts.

I didnt know Erica that well but the times that I've talked to her was the greatest. She was a very sweet and caring person. She was one of the most outgoing people that I have ever met. She was very bubbly and always smiling. I'm glad I had the chance to meet a special person like Erica Hambsch! We miss you Erica and you are in our prayers and thoughts everyday. I know you're in a better place. I'll see you soon. Watch over us girl.

I'm Erica's Dad. I will always remember my little girl with great memories. I love to hear the stories you guys have to write. I,as well as my family, are very grateful for your generous and loving support. We can already feel God's loving hand begin to heal our broken hearts. Time is our biggest help, although I wish time would go by faster. Thanks again for sharing your fond memories of her.
We miss her beyond words can describe.

Dear Eric, Anne & Kenny:
There are no words that can take away the pain; however, there is a tremendous amount of support around you that will help you get through this.
It was our family’s great privilege and honor to have known and spent time with your daughter. She was an inspiration, a breath of fresh air, and support person to our children; mostly Meagan.
They say God has a plan for all of us and only he knows how long that plan and road will go. It is times like this that we look at all the things that we never did, or things that we should have said – and you said it best during Erica’s service – always make sure they know that you love them. We were touched and moved by the kind words that were shared, but our spirits and faith were strengthen by the communities love and support that made their presence know to your family that day.
One of the biggest and greatest things that I hold dearly in my heart and hope with each rising and setting sun, is that what ever it is that I need to do that day – that I did it the best that I can, with all that I can, and with great love – no matter the cost or pain that I endure. To make sure that every life or person that I come into contact with, knows that I am a man of God – and that through him and with him – all things are possible.
Dawn, my wife, was viewing the videos that were captured on her cell phone and we as a family sat back and laughed at a clip that she had of Erica entertaining Meagan, Faith and her in Walmart – by performing the “Chicken Dance” without a care in the world as to what other people thought. What a free spirit and a great demonstration of her independence to stand out among the crowd.
Through her untimely passing, we can be comforted that she is in a much better place than we are today. Even though it’s unexplained as to why, we must realize that her time with us was short but it for filled a purpose – and the Good Lord needed her more at this time for something bigger and more Grand!! I know that we all will see her again really soon.
In closing – poems and music has such a great compassion to the emotions and heart, as it can actually say those things that we can’t and it can help heal us by its common thread of humanity, as it allows us to share our joys, hurts and lives journey with others and to know that we are not alone.
I have found a few songs to share with you, not the full songs, but snippets – to help you in this same healing and comforted way. Our family is always here for you all.
“Cry Out to Jesus” by Third Day
To everyone who's lost someone they love
Long before it was their time
You feel like the days you had were not enough
when you said goodbye
And to all of the people with burdens and pains
Keeping you back from your life
You believe that there's nothing and there is no one
Who can make it right
There is hope for the helpless
Rest for the weary
Love for the broken heart
There is grace and forgiveness
Mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are
Cry out to Jesus, Cry out to Jesus
“My Wish” by Rascal Flatts
*(our wish for your family)
I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
and each road leads you where you want to go,
and if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
and if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin''til you find the window,
if it's cold outside,
show the world the warmth of your smile,
but more than anything, more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
your dreams stay big, your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
and while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.
Love: Rob & Dawn Sword & Family

I spent three years in this school with Erica in most of my classes. Erica was with out a doubt the highlight of the day, everyday. From the stories she told to the goofy things she said or did. She was a genuine person and will be greatly missed. I remeber one time we all were at the ybor trip last year. We all sat together at the end of the table. We were having a discussion of nonsense like most kids do and we were tlaking about Mrs. Coles class or something like that. And for some reason the captial of China came up and Rebecca asked Erica what the capitla of China was. Her reply was "King Kong". Everyone laughed of course. it was small things like that I remebmer and everyone in the Picc classes and the school, and her friends im sure will truly miss. God Bless RIP Erica.

To Eric, Anne and Kenny,
Words cannot express my sorrow at hearing of the loss of your dear Erica. I only met Erica several times, once a month when she would bring in her precious dog for grooming. She would always smile, joke and tell me of her future plans of being a nurse. I have two daughters her age and cannot imagine the pain this family is feeling. Her parents Anne and Eric are two of the kindest and most caring parents a child could have asked for.
I know that she is in a better place and my thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God keep you in his care.

I have had a difficult time with Erica's passing, as we all have! With some this is the first death I have had to deal with and what passing!:/! But one of my friends who has dealt with time of grief before, which helped me so much, told me...God needed an Angel and friend's and Family needed a guardian angel and she was the perfect fit for the job! I am proud to say I have a beautiful, happy and BRIGHT guardian angel named Erica Anne Hambsch!!!
I have so many memories of little Erica growing up with my little sister Cara! Thanksgiving's, Christmas's, birthdays, my prom:), the cookouts, hurricane parties at Opas!! The one that I am most proud of is Memorial Day, I was on my way home from Jacksonville and was trying to hard to get intouch with my parents. I finally found out where they were and sure enough they were at Eric and Annes jet skiing on the lake! So without asking or findout where they lived I just went up there for a little surprise! My parents had left by the time I got there but I am so glad that I got to sit with Eric, Anne and most importatly Erica just talking about everything! That was the last day, hour, minute, and second I got to see my "little sister"! I am sorry for not being around more often...Erica's counsin John Paul and my sister Cara just recently told me they remember me never wanting to be around, it was true! I had just gotten a car and wanted to be with my friends. Sometimes I wish I could go back and just spend one extra minute before bolting after dinner! Thank you Eric and Anne for time I was able to share with your wonderful daughter!!! I look forward to spending future holidays with our families together so we can enjoy the short good times we have in our lives! I love you guys, I consisder you, Eric, Anne, and Kenny part of my extended family! See you soon!!!:)
