Horrified Carmelite

The greatest tribute that can ever be given to this woman, is for her death to be a worldwide S.O.S for what's being done to the senior community members in Carmel, Monterey and the entire Monterey County. To think that she died alone, possibly from freezing to death(pending coroners report)homeless, in one of the wealthiest, most resourceful, most cherished destinations in the world is unconscionable.....and yet she from reports, by making the choices she did, actually had more people care about her and
show her some kindness and humanity, than members of our Greatest Generation, that are in local publicly funded nursing homes in MoCo., that are being beaten, brutalized and violated on every level on a regular basis, with virtually no one coming to their rescue. The typical response of a senior community member on this peninsula that might need some assistance, is that they would "kill themselves first, before ever entering a local "nursing" home facility". We have extensive elder abuse here
that is not being stopped on any level.Read the 4/28/09 Monterey
County Brd of Supervisors report that states: "With few exceptions,
the majority of nursing homes in Mo.Co. work at below-average standards" What excuse could we possibly have ? I never met Ms. Beach and have just heard about her incredibly sad story, but I pray that she never experienced the horror of being beaten, starved or dehydrated to death like our parents and grandparents that are voiceless and defenseless in local "care" facilities.Please don't let her death or theirs be in vain. Please
HELP ! See: 3/2011 Inspector General's Report Stating 92% of Nursing Homes Hire Criminals. Please get the facts and take action as the caring community Carmel needs to be. Great reference for info="Tender Loving Greed-2009 Notes" on Amazon .com;
