The dual lives of Soddy-Daisy's Jack Brown come to an end

There are 6 comments on the timesfreepress.com story from Sep 8, 2013, titled The dual lives of Soddy-Daisy's Jack Brown come to an end. In it, timesfreepress.com reports that:

Funeral speeches are supposed to include certain words. The deceased was a loving father. An adoring husband. At peace now. But there are other words that require a little more faith to digest. The deceased was a good person. He was honest. She went to heaven. Depending on the funeral, those words can furrow a brow, whiten a knuckle, or cause a crossed leg to nervously bob up and down. Not so at the funeral of Jack Edwin Brown, the small-town tax preparer accused of swindling dozens of Soddy-Daisy residents. At the mention of heaven, cries of "Amen" drowned out any doubt that this man had passed the Pearly Gates.

Is it possible? Yes, likely? No one can say here on earth. Might be best to think the best, opinion is all everyone here has. I would say its a long shot if forgiveness was not asked for from the many he cheated and received. The hurt he caused for those he cheated won't be erased by a simple, sorry, they lost everything they worked for all thier life so He and HIS family could live better. I'm sure he tried to convince himself. Sounds like he was such a good con he has convinced some others too, I doubt the ones he cheated have posted yet. Not sure what is worse, judging or defending this cheat and obvious liar. I'll let god do that. I won't enter judgement with his background I can say that.

Guess you must have received some gracious hospitality from someone's money he cheated them out of. I know, I know, he was really a nice man.

The way he and his family lived so lavishly off the money he stole was dispicable. Now the ones he stole from are left to figure out what to do. They just didn't live well they had every recreational toy imaginable, went on lavish trips, lived like they royals.....
