David Ford was perhaps the best Senator in Indiana. His excitement and comprehensive knowledge of technology, his compasion for constituents and his dedication to build a progressive Indiana will be greatly missed.

Great loss!! I remember comments in this section made when his initial undisclosed illness was announced, stating people should know what was wrong with him. Obviously, he had more dignity than they. For all the "politicians" we have representing us in the statehouse, it's sad we've lost such a fine individual. If we could just get Bauer to resign.

I had the opportunity to work with the Senator at a workshop several years ago and was only sorry he did not represent our district. He will be missed.

Sen. David Ford was truly a dedicated public servant. He was probably the most ethical legislator currently serving in the General Assembly and had a strong devotion to duty.

David Ford's passing is a great loss to the State of Indiana.

i was lucky enough to meet senator ford two times for education/technology related "stuff". he was kind, intelligent, logical, and understood the details of what we are trying to do in our schools to make our whole state better. he seemed like a great guy and he will be missed by his constituency.

David Ford was a kind, thoughtful, generous and humble leader. Exactly the kind of person we need as an elected official. He will be sorely missed.

God speed my friend, well done.

Thank you for everything you did for the education of our children. I will sorely miss the discussions we had on technology in education the past few years.
The State has lost a true champion. God Bless you David.

Senator Ford was a great Hoosier and wonderful supporter of Ball State University. The State and his fellow Hoosiers will miss him dearly!

The legislature should honor Senator Ford by supporting his two pet technology projects.

They should complete his I-Light II university super computer research network after years of delays and provide funding for his vision of a Indiana focused CSPAN.

That would be a lasting tribute to a valuable Indiana statesman.

My heart goes out to Joyce and the family. Dave grew up down the street from us, in Montpelier, he was always the nicest guy. Know our prayers are with all of you. My neice cut Dave's hair not too long ago and thought he was doing much better, and looking forward to going to your sons wedding. I thought he'd win his battle again as he did so many years ago. I guess God needed a great lawyer in heaven.

I am so very proud to have had the honor of working for Senator Ford for over a decade. There are not enough words to describe what a devoted public servant he was, not only to constituents in his district but to all Hoosiers.
His dedication to educating our children along with leading our state into the future of technology became his passion.
We have lost a great leader and a truly good person. Senator Ford will be missed.
