What a neat guy he was! I'm very sad to hear of his passing.

He was my father-in-law "way-back-when"...

I had the honor of working with George, on High Noon, until his retirement. He was a wonderful, dear sweet man. He will be missed greatly!

I will always remember those incredibly flamboyant ties he wore on the air and his everpresent cigar.

Go in peace!

He was a great man and I had the honor of working with him for several years while at KOSA. I learn so much from this man, he was a true gentlman. I also knew and worked with his son Gary.

Was George the guy with the goatee who emceed the charity event at Bonham auditorium? His girl sidekick was named Billie?
I remember the event drew major CBS stars like Doc from the 'Gunsmoke' TV show.

Ok I understand I did not know George had lost Lloyd and his other son I am sorry to hear that. I also have lost a son. Well tell Gary I often think of those days working at KOSA and high noon and his dad and the rest of the great folks that worked there. Me and Gary would pick up the films from his father and drive to the Post office in Garys Voltwagon to ship them out to the next stations. Well its was nice talking to you some day if I find myself back in Odessa I will look Gary up and say hi. I live in Belton Texas thats in central Texas. Once again thank you.

he was my Great Grandfather, I remember going to his home in Odessa for christmas and we would watch old reel to reel movies and shows that he had. He was an awesome man.

I also remember every year Granny Duesler making her famous Chili MMM MMM! I'll never forget those days, as those were the golden days of my childhood.

Becky Fetters, do you know anyone by the name of Nora Agnes Fetters? If so, that is my Grandmother :)

I stand corrected. Nora Agnes Fetters was the woman I knew as Aunt Nikki. And I did get the honor of meeting her & enjoying some good conversation & joking with her.
