sit down and think about this....350 cops, who should be out patrolling our streets and working, have taken the day off to go to a dogs Funeral.

Don't sugarcoat it and try to explain why the dog is different...I love dogs, have had dogs my whole life and realize this is a difficult thing for the OWNER.....of......the......DOG ....but for the rest of the cops to turn this into an event is an excuse to not work.

Civilians are not pukes coppers, we just work for a living, and we have responsibilities to conduct business, as we are paid to do...get to work and send a card.

Are all the cases solved?
Are all the areas secured?
Are all the wanted guys in jail?

Who then, pre-tell has time to go to a funeral, there is business to conduct.

Then let the handler and maybe his close associates at work attend. Let the remaining 300+ PAID BY MY TAX DOLLARS get out there and bust some more massage parlors!

This is a fallen deputy, not merly a dog. Perhaps you dont understand the bond because you've never owned a dog that would take a bullet for you. I think your comments here are way out of line. They are not looking for an excuse. and , by the way, a small number of the Law enforcment officers attending the memorial are even on duty for charlie shift, and many are from other jurisdictions. Dont worry, your precious tax dollars are still at work.

Sorry if i seem a little angry, but your comment was innapropriate.

My dog, Mastercator, and I will be ariving by heliocopter. Where is the V.I.P. and V. I.D. seating? Mastercator only eats vanilla flavored treats in his trailer.... get to it. Mastercator will be available for only one hour after the service for whatever the dogs name is. Autographs are $10.00 each.

I think just as many people should show up for the firing of the woman K-9 officer in Mullbery, Fla whose dog died when she left it in the car for an hour and the a/c failed. The captain said she's not at fault but it is illeagal in Florida to leave an animal (or child)in an unattended vehicle. FIRE HER & CHARGE HER.

No they did not take cops off the streets, they don't even do that for a human officer that died. The 350 officer's that are there are comprised of cops from all over florida and that of BSO which has over 6,000 employee's

If you are off duty or use your leave whats the problem? 350 is from all over florida and few different states. Now your going to tell me where or where not I can go when I use a vacation day? I think it says a lot about the bond when you have people willing to use a vacation day or their time off to show their support.
