After reading in his obit a few weeks ago that his daughter thought he "lived like a man and died like a man", and getting blasted for it, now we get to read a love story about her and her thug father. What's up with this stuff, Newsday? She got something on you? Maybe you want her to advertise her taxi company in your paper?

I think this is a nice story and her father seemed like a very nice man.

Most of us love our dads, even as we know them in later years, as men in full.

<quoted text>Welfare is what keeps us from being a third world nation complete with human excrement flowing in the streets of cardboard box towns. Now if you would rather live like that so that you have a few dollars more at the end of the week I'm sure there are some third world countries willing to accept a hard worker like yourself. In the meantime, try not to delude your self with visions of the republicans doing away with welfare. They aint that stupid.

As for the topic...

The children of those connected can never really escape the sins of their fathers. Even generations later, when all the players are long dead, family secrets and shame have a way of creeping up on you.

You can be a mob member and still be an excellent parent, its like being Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The children hear stories about Mr. Hyde but they never get to meet him, all they know is the very kind, involved, and loving parent, unlce, grandfather, etc. of Dr. Jekyll.

It is a complex affair of the heart.

It's a shame that the public does not believe that these men can be loving parents who shield their daughters from their outside life. Children grow up doing what they are taught to do all their lives, love, honor and defend their fathers no matter what the government accuses them of. Always keep your chin up Ms. Clemente, your father did a wonderful job!

I've just complained to the head of personnel at my accounting firm because Big Apple is the car service we use.

So what, does that mean you don't want to use their services any longer? The mob is involved with your garbage pick company, does that mean you won't put the garbage out anymore? I hope you're the guy who sweeps the floors at this firm and nothing else. Moron!

Diana is a client of mine and you couldn't find a nicer, more generous, or honorable person. We all have our crosses to bear; the way we carry them is what counts.

Frank, you sound like a jerk.
