Would love to have the autopsy results. 42 is pretty young unless one has a predisposing condition or genetic history of heart disease.

I just finished watching the story and trial coverage on ID (Investigation Discovery). When they said he died March 26, 2010, my first thought was DRUG OVERDOSE =( What a sad end to such a sad tale.

I just watched Investigative Discovery On Kris Koulis and Lisa Buchannon and at the end it said he to had died so I got on-line to find out when the autopsy results would be available because Im really curious to know although i dont believe the state had enough evidence to prove without a doubt that he did any wrong I believe 100% that he did though so im interested to know if his death is a shadow of Lisas will the results be made public and if so when

I too just watched the show and would like to have my suspicions (of an overdose) confirmed. I believe the jurors made the correct decision (given the lack of evidence), but I also have no doubt that he gave Lesa the injections. Has his autopsy report been published?

It seems to me that he played a huge role in her addiction, but it also seems that her family was a bit in denial. Clearly Ms. Buchannon was intent on not seeking any help for her addiction and I think that although the Dr. in question was a weasel, I tend to wonder why her parents, sibling or ex-husband did nothing in regards to an intervention for her. It is easy to place 100% of the blame on another party and not have to deal with their personal involvement aka denial. I am sorry it turned out so badly, I believe he got what he deserved and I hope the family can sue his estate for damages for his part he played in her death.

I, too, just watched the story on ID. I believe that the relationship between the two was toxic. I also believe that drug addiction played a huge role in Lesa's death. Although tragic, Lesa appeard to be addicted to pain medicine. So I guess the question could be asked,'Did Chris make the narcotic so readily available'? However, I do not believe that he forced Lesa to use the drug. I believe that Chris loved Lesa and vise versa. I do not believe that she would have wanted Chris to be held accountable for her death or furthermore portraied as a murderer. I believe that both parties were willing participants in thier drug use. Denial is always an easier way to deal with the loss of a family member when drugs are involved. My deepest sympathies are with the families of both Lesa and Chris. May God bless them and hold them, seeing them through these very trying times.

they are both, without a doubt, at fault. Lesa for being dependant on a man for her financial stabilty; and Crist for taking advantage of a woman by using his financial stability. The whole story is extremely sad, which ever side you're on. There are no winners. Only losers.... My heart goes out to Lesa's daughter and family, as well as Crist's family.

I just read an article where his sister says he died of a heart attack at his home in Chicago. Awfully young for a natural heart attack, but who knows... maybe he was into drugs.

Does anyone know what caused such a young man to die of a heart attack? Did he deliberately od?

I was shock to hear Christ was dead. He was found not guilty but he could have gotten manslaughter for her death now is him he is too young to die wonder if he died of drug overdose and whom he was with when he died

What is an "apparent heart attack?" Nah, that's bogus. They perform an autopsy on young people that pass, there isn't an apparent heart attack.

Just speculation on my part, but if if the family is trying to so hard to get his name cleared since the case was pending appeal, they aren't beyond saying that his cause of death was something other that what it was.

Drugs. Sure...saying that this was the manner of his death would lead to speculation that he was indeed involved in the death of his girl friend.

Whatever the case, you could tell that he was smug and hedging on the side of bastardism.

At first glance, it appears that neither of them needed to suffer their untimely deaths. However, after much thought and evidence in, I am afraid that the Doctor was very complicit in her death. For instance; "If he immediately told the EMS people when they arrived that she was suffering from an Oxycodone overdose, a shot of NARCAN or other antagonist may have been life saving. He was thinking ONLY of HIMSELF. Synop/He got what he deserved(IMO).

I, being an ex-heroin addict myself, I must say this - and it comes from first-hand experience! I had no knowledge or use for drugs or heroin until..... one day I meet an extremely good looking guy, who never even looked the part or acted the part of a heroin user. He his this well. He was a pro.. at scamming and using people. I was next on his list. But unbeknowxt to me, I fell for the guy and long story short he moved in. Well, later on comes the horrible fact that he's hooked on heroin (afrer a lot of my stuff mysteriously disappeared no doubt, though I knew something was not right with this whole picture). But somehow in the midst of me really thinking I could save this guy, I try and do everything to help him rid his addiction; don't ask me how, but he convinced me to try it one day, and well... the rest is history! I'd become a full-blown addict in less than 2 months, and now he had me where he wanted me, dependent on him for knowledge and experience...... where to buy the dope, how to do it, then comes the stealing because naturally my job no longer could support 2 heroin addicts. It's a sad, sad tale.

But the point I'm making is this: people who've never walked in an addict's shoes just don't know how it works. Usually addicition is a co-dependent thing. I absolutely believe that Kris supplied her the drugs, turned her onto them to start with, and once you get the feeling of opiates, well.... let me tell you, it's like a paradise you never knew existed and it grabs you by the balls and don't let go! I'm serious people. It usually happens from one person turning another onto the "feelgood" of opiates and they know, the rest is probably history.

Kris knew exactly what he was doing by getting Lisa addicted. He had her co-dependent on him for his own selfish purposes, and in return she was greedy in relying on him for money. They both basically sucked each other into their own greediness. And not to mention the physical attraction between them was obviously strong. Kris HAD to teach her how to shoot up - that's not something an everyday normal person knows how to do!! And of course he made the drug SO available to her that it was a no-brainer; they always had the opiates when they needed them! Unfortunately for Lisa, when she realized how deep into addiction she was, that she didn't get treatment. Believe me, it's something that usually takes trying over and over again - it's seldom fixed on the first try. Opiates are the worst, most evil addiction there is because of the torturous and excruciating withdrawls. If you've never seen a person in severe withdrawals from opiates, OMG, it is NOT NICE!!!

They both fed on each other, but Kris is the more responsible party, because he knew exactly what he was doing when he gave her that very first shot!! He didn't want her to get help! I believe that with all my heart. Because then, he'd have to be an addict all by himself, and what fun is that??? Addicts love to drag others down into their pit! This was truly one of the saddest stories I've seen (outside of my own, except there wasn't death, but almost). I do think Lisa's family was in denial, but of course that's BC Lisa didn't want them to know the dirty, nasty details. She died because of the pills they crushed and cooked. Kris should've known it's uncool to do that. You don't want that trash going into your bloodstream! He's a doc! But she died from an accident, and he didn't tell the ER what was really going down, so they were clueless about how to possibly help her properly! At the end of the show, I knew Kris would be acquited, but I knew he was guilty of addicting her, but it just couldn't be proved. It just blew my mind when I read at the end that he had died as well. It really is sad. Most people have NO FRIGGIN IDEA just how serious and horrible and painful trying to kick opiates is. Most people would rather die than go through the agony!!! This is just sad!
