That part of Sonoma Blvd is very dangerous , the cars come flying from off the freeway speeding. They really need to put more traffic lights around that area because I always see kids crossing in crosswalks that are dangerous because the cars cant really see them to slow down in time when they come off of the freeway.

I do not think he was in the crosswalk-it cannot be expected that cars will be able to stop hitting a jaywalker- especailly with the visibility of oncoming car headlights and other factors-hence jaywalking is illegal-it poses a danger. Many times I have had to hit my brakes for people in the middle of very busy areas that are not using crosswalks. People do not belong in the road in that area crossing period. The article would have said pedestrian hit in crosswalk if this were the case then we would be having a whole new story. Survival of the fittest also means those using good judgement and for this sad soul and his loved ones-as well as the driver who hit him who is not at fault-all have to pay a certain emotional price for one man's poor judgement-let us not blame the traffic etc...laws are already in effect that would have prevented all of this.

This "man" was my brother, and his name was Kevin Johnson. He will certainly be missed.
