Family of Mrs. Frances Griffith
Dear Family:
I heard of Mrs. Griffith’s passing and I wanted to convey my deepest regrets for your loss. I can only imagine the pain and sorrow you must be feeling.
So many times we feel life is unfair and cruel, but no pain could be greater than when we experience the loss of our family member. It can be so difficult to understand and cope with that many end up blaming God. We need answers to questions like: Why do people have to die? Where are the dead? Why an all-powerful and loving God allows suffering at all? Having the answers to these puzzling questions is the key to coping with such a great loss.
The Bible says at 1 Corinthian 15:26 that death is our enemy. As that verse continues it gives us hope by showing that this enemy will soon be “brought to nothing”. At Revelations 21:4 the Bible shows that soon God will “wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be any more. The former things have passed away.” When Jesus lived as a man on earth he felt the pain of death. After his friend Lazarus died the scriptures say he wept. He also performed many miracles, including resurrecting his friend and many others from death. He promised that soon there would be a resurrection of all mankind onto a peaceful, paradise earth (John 5:28, 29).
Although the Bible was written many years ago, it is preserved for our benefit. It gives us hope for the future and comfort in the stressful times we live in. I hope the tracts I included will bring you further comfort at this time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
A. Freeman
