Kathleen was a great lady and a great Superintendent. She was a fellow Rotarian and I always enjoyed sitting with her during our meetings becasue she was a very intelligent person and quite easy to talk to - and she had a good sense of humor, too. God Bless you Kathleen, you left us too soon.

My condolances to Ms. Macy's family.

Note to Pioneer Press: Surveys showing widespread approval of the slick, under-the-radar laptop initiative are slanted & biased. Parents and taxpayers roundly criticized this huge expenditure. The vast majority opposed it then, & still do now.

What would you expect from a Megan Boldt report?

I'm amazed at the insensitivity of this remark at such a sad time in the Macy family's lives.

I agree BUT once again Ms.Boldt has elected to guide readers towards some ill feelings at a time of reflection of one's life in her artical. Why not just leave it at; her leadership was second to none; what a true leader she was for the district; she acheived many goals, the kids, parents, and staff loved her presence and excietment she projected to excell!

BUT NO! Ms. Boldt elected to throw the 1:1 laptop issue out there. WHY? The only issue not popular among the residents of IDS 834 under her leadership was the expenditure of million of tax payers dollars in which Dr. Macy supported and elected to move forward with. Was it right or wrong? Who knows, who cares? The decision was made. But why the ex-AP reporter Ms. Boldt would even think of throwing it out there at this time is beyond me?????????

May the Lord Bless Dr. Macy and be with her family at this time. She was a good person and deserves to remembered for the positive she brought to the table. Not the one unpopular decision of implementing an idea to be the best.
