NEIC reports quake at W. end of New Britain arc in the outer forearc where irt collides with the E. part of the papua/hagen arc, in the part where the collision between the 2 arcs is pushing up the outer & central forearc creating the Sepik range & its classical uplifted coral reef terraces.
Quake is a transform fault along a segment boundary, NNE-SS via moment tensor report, likely no tsunami, a classical quake for that part of the world.
