I guess you would have been happier with that wingnut Amato whose big plan was to make this city into a huge art community. Dale has done an amazing job. Carlsbad is thriving more than it has in 20+ years, we've gotten new businesses and housing and more businesses actually looking at coming into ths town. Dale will have my vote as long as he wants to run. He is breath of fresh air after the previous mayor and his fear of any compettion to any of his businesses.

So, you are saying that Dale brought all of this to Carlsbad, and the oil boom did not have anything to do with it? He could have sat on his tale end all the years and this would have happened without him. Or is this Dale as "Very Pleased"? I hope everyone is enjoying all the traffic and the high speed traffic through the town? Notice all the rolling through the stop signs from the oil field workers and all the loud pipes from the trucks that have been modified.

If the Forrest accusation is true, where are the stupid, ugly, inappropriate, costly, non-native palm trees being planted?

Carlsbad is in the middle of the worst drought in record, " Carlsbad drinking water supply is from the Capitan Aquifer south west of Carlsbad " and is nearly dry "" We Are Being Lied To "".

Oil and Natural Gas Companies they are sucking this underground water source dry.

Rumored El Paso Texas has slant drilled water wells into New Mexico water supply , affecting the Capitan Aquifer ?.

Southeastern New Mexico Congressman, and Santa Fe lawmakers and the governor know about this, they are looking the other way, with their hand out to the oil and gas companies.

Carlsbad New Mexico has always been the south eastern corner trash people.

"" Rich insiders have all the money tied up in their bank accounts they have what they want already, ""

Rich Santa Fe, Carlsbad, Hobbs, Artesia, insiders could not care less about the Residents of Carlsbad and the surrounding area water wells go dry "", because they are stupid clueless trash people to them.

Wake up "Carlsbad Residents" stop being stupid trash !

Start screening for environmental groups support !

Start screaming for federal investigations !

"Good quality water for industrial purposes can be acquired from private water suppliers."

Like the one you work for Dale? What a freakin conflict of interest! Wow, a whole 304 houses! Considering the fact that the 304 acre feet probably employ over 2000 people, I'd say that is a pretty good trade off! 304 Acre feet is a damn drop in the bucket!

Let's look at the agricultural use of water here- well over 100,000 acre feet per year! How many people does that employ? Not even close to the number employed by the wise use of industrial water by the city. They run the water out in the open on the ground during the hottest months of the year. The evap rate alone is in the thousands of acre feet per year in the Carlsbad basin!

Give me a break! This is nothing but an effort by the mayor to enrich his employer and his pockets by forcing the industries to buy water from I & W (or whatever they called themselves to escape from the liability of the sinkhole)!

BTW, I understand that the mayor and former mayor barely speak to each other. Politics simply corrupt people. This is just an example of someone being put in office by their employer to enrich their pockets. It has nothing to do with any damn former mayor or Hobbs/Santa Fe politicians. Just plain greed clouding someone's judgement. We like to say we're business friendly. This new proposal is just plain friendly to the mayor's company at the expense of everyone else. City council, just say no!

You make it sound as if there is only one trucking company that is selling water in Eddy County. You're wrong and clearly out to screw one guy over while not seeing (or at least stating) the whole picture. Companies selling and/or pumping out water to use in the oil and gas fields are vastly numerous in Eddy County. Examples include: Basic, Key, Nabors, and JWS. All of which are twice if not three times larger in numbers and service than the now defunct I&W you mentioned. Dale and his brother own and operate a safety service company. Combined, their client list makes up many of the smaller trucking companies in Eddy County.

poor ole cancer lewis, them smokes finally got to him, he now has this thing he puts on his throat to speak, sounds like one of the martians from outer space, theres a saying we dont leave this earth before paying for our sins, thats why sometimes you see alot of sick people in there death beds, with pains and sufferings taking forever to die. you might be a city cop , a sheriffs deputy, a district attorney, but always watch your actions, and dont go overboard, just follow the rules, it might come back and hunt you. dont never let that authority go to your head, you wont be young forever, when you get sick and old, you will pay for it and dearly.

If they are running for mayor or any other office, they have a personal agenda for themselves.
