Vietnam metro to tackle floods with ponds, lakes
Children walk on flooded Calmette Street in downtown Ho Chi Minh City. The city is considering a plan to build underground water tanks and dig lakes to store rainwater in a controversial effort to tackle inundation.

digging the lake won't sort out the flooding,,
the city only 1 meter from sea level.. full moon high tides,,met the rain then there you are,,
just enjoying the flooding,,
in the next 15 years time,, THU THIEM,,Bach Dang river will taking over the cities,,
then it will be rename as a flooding cities,,no more ho chi minh
