If either one focused on the Bible and its Gospel message, they might not be leaders of the two most notable dying churches in the US. I don't think any church body can claim larger losses in membership, lower percentage of member Sunday worshipers and number of churches closed due to rank liberalism than TEC and ELCA. With these two at the helm of these denominations, they can only expect further decline.
