Farmers selling water to oil and gas just now figuring that out what planet have you been on ?
Why do you think water wells in the area are going dry.
You suck one area dry it affects all the others.
Now watch some smart ass hydrologist paid by the oil and natural gas companies, come on here explain it does not affect all the other water wells.

You suck one water well dry, it affects all the others in Carlsbad area.
Pretty soon the springs that feed the Carlsbad Lake will go dry, those rich people on the river will have nothing but stinking mud and dirt to look at.
