ATTN: Kathmandu buildings, not earthquakes, kill people

There are 4 comments on the MYREPUBLICA.com story from Mar 5, 2010, titled ATTN: Kathmandu buildings, not earthquakes, kill people. In it, MYREPUBLICA.com reports that:

What would you do if an earthquake of a catastrophic magnitude hits the Kathmandu valley as you read this sentence? Like most Nepalis, whether at home, work, public place or on the road, one does not have the faintest clue as to what one will do in the panic that will follow within a millionth of a second should an earthquake trigger.

After observing the buildings in Kathmandu, I would get as far away from any building and stand in a field. Its safer then those death trap buildings in Kathmandu. Most of the so called buildings are unfit for man or beast. without a earthquake. Let known, with one.

You mean what does the abreviation mean as a word? In english it means "Attention" in other words, someone is trying to get your attention.

Yeah, it is true that Nepal buildings aren't well built despite Nepal said to be in risk of big earthquake.

I wish there was better town planning system.
