State Climatologist: Snowpack won't help drought
ST. PAUL, Minn. - Melting winter snowfall won't do much to ease the extremely dry soil conditions across Minnesota, even those areas that experience spring flooding, according to state climatologist Greg Spoden.

So why do we have a state climatologist anyway? Same reason we have someone to mispredict the budget deficit/surplus several times a year? Or accident reconstruction specialists to tell us why an accident happened?("It was an accident!")
