Magnitude-7.0 earthquake strikes South Atlantic

Saw this one on the NEIC website. Looks like a transform fault quake of ENE-WSW fault direction with the Scotia basin moving E with respect to the S.Atlantic.

The aftershock sequence looks a mite stumpy though, so may yet prove to be the NNW-SSE direction and be part of a segment boundary transform of a slowly compressing island arc.

Time will tell.
