A Lexington, Ky., doctor has struck a critical agreement to get a life-saving product in the hands of emergency room workers and paramedics across the country as they battle the nation's heroin epidemic.

It's a good idea. But, it's coming from a place of scaremongering. Is there really such an 'epidemic' in the U.S? or is it pretty much same as it ever was..... peaks and dips in popularity ...... only a few months ago was reading articles on here which claimed the use of the classics like heroin, was going down in favour of prescription meds, now it's an "epidemic"..... well, at least if it gets antidotes like this one made, and nalaxone and so on readily available then it's no bad thing
