Watch out for Chief Lewis. I hear he will sleep with your wife and give you a wedgie.

This letter will clear up all the rumors floating around. I am a concerned friend of Pahrump Fire Department Lieutenant Firefighter Steve Moody. I am aware, along with many other firefighters of inappropriate and more so scandalous behavior Chief Lewis has engaged in with Steve’s wife Sandra Moody. The detailed circumstances are well known around the firehouse and quit frankly I am tired of coming to work to continually find Steve venting detailed information to firefighters what Chief Lewis has done to his wife and how the previous Town Board members did nothing about it. I want to tell Steve I am sorry if the way I disclose this information embarrasses or upsets you but your story needs to come to light so the public can see what you and the rest of the firefighters deal with while working for Chief Lewis. Steve, you are a good man and deserve to come to work happy. You deserve to be supported by your superiors. You don’t deserve to have Chief Lewis take advantage of you or hold things over your head. Remember, it’s not your fault Steve, Chief Lewis is the one that crossed the line with your wife and placed you in this situation.
For what it’s worth, he we go. Chief Lewis was involved in a sex scandal with Lieutenant Firefighter Steve Moody’s wife from January through February 2012. While Steve was at work Chief Lewis would be sexting or more commonly known as sending dirty text messages to Steve’s wife from his department cell phone. As the sexting progressed Chief Lewis would call Steve in for overtime causing Steve to leave his home to attend work. Steve one day noticed text messages on his wife’s cell phone from Chief Lewis’ fire department work cell phone at inappropriate hours. Later Chief Lewis found out the sex scandal was discovered by Steve. Chief Lewis proceeded to Steve’s home to defuse the situation. From what Steve told me, the confrontation started as yelled at one another and amounted to a physical altercation. Chief Lewis then came up with a plan and told Steve how they were going to deal with this situation and hide it from the town board and media.
If it wasn’t for Steve constantly venting to me and talking to other firefighters at the firehouse, I don’t think we would have ever have known this event happened. One thing I have noticed is the difference in Steve’s attitude and decision making while at work. He started talking about moving out of state, searching for new jobs, and quitting the fire service. This is not the Steve I know. Steve has been in the fire service for many years and loves his job. Steve always has a smile on his face and will brake his back for you. I am confident the Pahrump Valley Time news will investigate the information provided in this letter and hold town officials accountable if they continue to cover up this heart braking story. This type of inappropriate behavior does not belong in the firehouse nor does it in the fire service. No firefighter or human being should go through what my dear friend Steve has gone through these last 12 months. Worst of all, Chief Lewis’ decision to engage in this type of lewd behavior has damaged Steve’s relationship with his wife.
To prove this story is true and accurate, Chief Lewis’ fire department cell phone records can be obtained from the Town of Pahrump office. If the Pahrump Valley Time news needs further confirmation of this story, I can provide you with first and last names of each firefighter that Steve has made aware of the sex scandal. Last, if requested I will provide you with voice recordings of Lieutenant Firefighter Steve Moody and Chief Lewis discussing the sex scandal.
All the information disclosed in this letter is true to the best of my knowledge and for time being I would like to stay anonymous. This letter is in my own words, but was drafted by a colleague of mine. Thank you for your time as always

Well, if it's the promise of money that got Steve to shut up about this whole incident, then I'd say Steve's not much of a person. He definitely has no love or respect for his wife to just allow this mess to be swept under the rug by some lousy overtime. As a matter of fact, by working more overtime, he's just allowing his wife to have more freedom to sext whomever she desires. Plus, by allowing Chief Lewis to get away with this, Steve's allowing the Chief the opportunity to possibly to the same thing to another firefighters wife.
Just like when a woman won't testify against someone who sexually assaulted her, she is unwittingly allowing that person to go free to do it to another woman. The only difference is that a woman in this case is usually either scared or embarrassed, and rightfully so. However, with Steve, if he's satisfied with making more money to make this matter justifiable, then he's just as bad as the Chief is.
He has no backbone, no morals and no ethics. If he was a real man, he wouldn't allow someone to make a fool of him and his family. I know I sure wouldn't. I would expose the Chief myself for what he truly is, rather than let my so-called friends post nothing more than hearsay on the internet where there's no credibility. If you really are friends of Steve and want the Chief to be exposed for what he is, then maybe you should talk Steve into pressing charges against the scumbag! That would be the right thing to do.

The Mesquite Fire Department operates out of two fire stations with 25 employees on the payroll for a total annual budget of $3.305 million. 90.2 percent of its total operating budget is allocated to Total Compensation, which includes salaries, OT, all benefits and pension contributions. Of the entire City of Mesquite budget, 17.7 percent is devoted to the Fire Department.

Boulder City Fire Department operates out of one fire station with 21 employees with an annual budget of $3.274 million. 89.6 percent of its total operating budget is allocated to Total Compensation. Boulder City dedicates 12.7 percent of its total city budget to its Fire Department.

Pahrump Fire Department operates out of 3.5 fire stations with 28 employees and because of a crappy, selfish, and sex addict fire chief nothing has change in 10 years.

This was in the pahrump valley times November 29, 2012.

Snow also wanted to point out that the majority of the union has strong disagreements on how the department is being run.

Those disagreements were directed at Fire Chief Scott Lewis.

“I can only say that a vote of no confidence went through and it was a 76 percent positive vote of no confidence. We are working together to try and address those issues,” he said.

Lewis says he doesn’t comment on union activities and didn’t provide a rebuttal to Snow’s comment about the no confidence vote.

Phone calls to Kohbarger were not returned.

Anyone see the picture 3 years ago of the fire chief running with one child from the burning trailer......my question to him where were your firefighters???? Why arent you managing the incident like a fire chief is suppose to. Did you have firefighters in Vegas on transports? Did you even have enough firefighters on scene to manage the incident???? Has it becum a daily problem for you and you sugar coat it to your bosses?? I hope this kids didn't die because of your lack of leadership!!!!! The public deserves more not a ego manic chief who is a fraud....BTW why dont you have a assistant chief or battalion chief like every other FD is the USA. Are you afraid of someone being capable of replacing you when the town board catches on to your game?? Can you every look in the mirror call yourself a fire chief. No wonder parimp fire department is the laughing stock of the fire service. No wonder everyone is testing for other departments.how are all those lawsuits treating you chief. Stop trying to be a hero and keep your dic in your pants and run the FD the right way.
