Why does Ashville need two libraries?

It is a question that has been asked for years: Does the city of Ashville need two libraries? Both the Ashville Public Library and the St. Clair County Library are in Ashville, less than 100 yards apart.

The Ashville public library is for children: books and reading programs.
The St. Clair County library is more for adults and research.
I love both libraries and would hate to see either one go.

I think it's crazy for Ashville to have 2 libraries it's to much confusion a lot of people don't even realize there is 2 libraries! They need to combine them I might need to get a group together to see if we can do something about getting them combined!!
