I am planning on driving from Murfreesboro Tennessee on I-24 to I75 South today. Is Moneagle mountain passable?

Hey Buddy...Hope you had a great holiday.

I don't travel that mtn region too often, but when I do, I always stop at the Army Surpus to buy things for my grandchildren.

I see signs for 41 when in that area but not 40. Wasn't that the road # reported on local radio as to have had a rock slide?

Lets hope that slide is over 'cause as soon as I am finished with the flu virus....I plan to head that direction.

Will you please keep us informed if and when you know that slide has been cleared? Happy New Year to You and yours!!!

TDOT has a great tool to keep abreast of road conditions http://ww2.tdot.state.tn.us/tsw/smartmap.htm The site is continually updated. Put your cursor of the incident or construction icon and it will give you current status, Weather related instances are color coded.

Thanks, More Facts. Channel 5 showed pics this afternoon and it looked like a mess. Reporter stated that TDOT was monitoring that mtn area for stability. Lets hope traffic isn't diverted thru FC again because we had too many accidents while the sink hole was being repaired. Do you know which exit # is closest to this slide?

Hope you have a wonderful New Year!!

According to the incident map, it is at MM 137 on the Westbound side, it would be a couple of miles East from the 1st Monteagle exit towards Chattanooga.

Thanks for your response.

What that term? Gird your loins?'cause it seems we have more SB ////CO....BS coming up right soon. Seems some feathers have been ruffled and a few of the elected folks aren't too happy. Guess the New Year will be celebrated in proper fashion. My bet would be placed on the SB members 'cause if they have worries...they won't chalk it off to BS. These folks will pull out their shovels and dig for the truth.

I love the tenacity of this new Board!!!!!

FC is well endowed with BS!! I for one am accustomed to it and expect nothing else from most elected officials. I do have a lot of hope for our new State Rep and Congressman!! We also have some good folks in the couthouse offices now, let just hope they do not go astray!! It is the SB and County Court that concern me most.

This slide isn't causing any problems. Just stay out of the left lane toward the top of the Mtn. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and new year!
