Your right. The mess going in Gould is very blatant, and I hope the residents there don't put up with it. What is it with these small towns anyway? God bless Mayor Foster and Jennifer Jones!

The investigation did not interview all parties involved lol. You could hardly call that an investigation. It was the Town Manager that chose the investigators, a conflict of interest. It has been said the Law Firm is used for nothing more then "damage control".

LOL, Penelope? ALL parties WERE interviewed. How on earth can you say such a thing? Have you actually read the 200 page investigative report? The Town Manager DID NOT choose or hire the investigators. It is standard practice for a Town to hand over the selection process to their risk pool insurer. In this particular case, Quartzsite's insurer, Southwest Risk and who is the insurer to many small towns, chose Jackson Lewis, LLC, to do the independent investigation. The only damage control needed is for people like you who continue to twist words, use hearsay, and otherwise, make things up as they go along, in my humble opinion.

Your own Town Code states that a policeman under investigation, must be put on administrative leave. Of which, the Chief was not!(Oh, by the way he still is under investigation.) All parties involved, were not interviewed, namely all police. This was not a fair and just investigation! Above all, the videos that came out show the truth/proof of this thug regardless of anything you say!

Penelope, What also worries many as read in the independent investigation of Jackson Lewis LLC is (their quote from the investigation, verbatum, specifically the 'Legal Analysis and Recommendations', which starts on page 52 of that report and inserted here):

"Based on the totality of circumstances, there is clearly reason to question the motives behind several of the allegations that have been asserted. Indeed, it appears that some of the witnesses were untruthful in interviews and fabricated information in an effort to bolster claims alleged in the Anonymous Letter. Furthermore, when asked for specific examples of conduct that witnesses believe support their allegations, many of the incidents about which they complained occurred as many as five years ago. Moreover, the majority of witnesses could not even point to conduct they personally observed, but rather attempted to provide information obtained through rumors or hearsay. As such, the evidence suggests that many of the witnesses discussed their allegations with each other prior to or during the investigation, even though they were directed not to do so."

As it appears, several witnesses had complaints up to 5 years ago. If really against policies and procedures, why weren't they brought forward at the time? And, the majority of witnesses used hearsay, rumors, and "he said, she said". The last sentence is really disturbing:..."As such, the evidence suggests that many of the witnesses discussed their allegations with each other prior to or during the investigation, even though they were directed not to do so."

Same as lately, people (including you) are using inflammatory statements and ideas WHILE an investigation is going on by the DPS (this time), very improper rhetoric and further hurts your cause.

We all remember then-citizen Foster and recalled Bill Moore went to DPS charging Chief with criminal acts in June of 2010. Remember? Chief Gilbert was cleared of ALL charges and in fact, Foster and Moore were caught falsifying documents, a few police officers were included in that report as well. The entire Report is in the Library and with NO redactions. DPS is not happy having to deal with all of this belly-aching either. But messing with the NCIC is a serious charge and they have stated the results will come out in a matter of weeks, so how about letting "due process" happen for a change instead of tainting the process?

And, by the way, many of us townspeople here in Quartzsite are rock hounders, we love "rocks"!

Rock on, and let 'due process' continue.

Quartzsite Citizen,

As I have stated before, I do have first hand knowledge that NOT ALL THE WITNESS were interviewed and NOT all subjects of Criminal Complaints were presented to Jackson Lewis LLC. Next it is NOT the proper actions for Criminal Complaints against the Chief of Police to be investigated by a Civilian Agency! Their own Policy require them to turned over for investigation all information to an outside Law Enforcement Agency to conduct that investigation! This is nothing more that a move to cover up and protect their Chief Enforcer from being charged with “Criminal Violations of the Law”!

Try to explain the video interview of Dennis Hegeman who admitted he stole Dana Stadler’s truck from private property. The problem here lies within the fact that Chief Jeff Gilbert not only had knowledge of this FELONIOUS Criminal act by Mr. Hegeman, but as well Mr. Hegeman states openly that Sgt. Fabiola Garcia, Officer (fired former Under-Sheriff La Paz Co.) Rick Patterson had told him to go on another’s private property, steal the truck that Dana Stadler had a Arizona Title for, and removed it back to his property and block it in so Mr. Stadler could not retrieve his property! More video are coming along with additional documentation soon!

Sorry, "only one view" Paul Staudt, of Kingman, not of Quartzsite. You cannot have 1st hand knowledge since only those people (and on both sides) who were in the investigation are 1st hand. All you can claim is rumor, innuendo and hearsay, and hearsay in particular as it is stated in the Legal system.

As far as any video that you might publish on your only one-way view site, I wouldn't trust any of them. I have seen some of these videos no matter whom on the oppositionists' side produced them, I have seen them played with, dubbed, split, reworked, and in many other edited ways. I have been to some of the meetings, etc., where I saw what happened, saw the entire video and noticed that your 'versions' seem to be somewhat to a lot shorter. Oooh, doesn't look good for you guys.

Quartzsite Citizen,

The facts speak for themselves and with over 110,000 hits since November 8th of 2011 I can say that more people trust my statements and facts over yours! After all, they can think for themselves and make up their own minds as I don’t tell them what to think, just take the time to look, read, and view the information to be the judge.
