I'm not sure why we fight one another for a commen goal. The death of a child. Someone in the family is responsible for atleast knowing. I do believe that. Why is there so much hatred among us? Isn't the goal JonBenet.

14 years ago, a child died...was murdered. The pictures I seen had her mouth slightly open and dried secretions on her face. Around her lips was turning blue. She had marks on her that I wish I could explain by a stun gun, but I know better. Her hair was wrapped in a garrote. I seen the picture that was taken earlier that day with her mom. They did look happy. What happened? and why?

Thanks Candy, like the original foundation/s started in her name, I am not surprised that it wasn't updated and was left ignored, but you make an excellent point in that the public is being asked to do what they themselves have refused to do and continue to do.
It appears that each time JR goes on TV, or runs for office, etc. a foundation of some sort is started and then fades away.

Thanks for reminding us about this.

The round of applause you got for this thread last year was deafening Candy, so naturally you wanted to bump it up this year for an encore. Your first supporter has already put her hands together in encouragement and no doubt the rest will follow soon. Congratulations on your accomplishment for the year. You must feel so proud. Well done!
Don't ever underestimate Candy. She has brought a lot of important information to this forum and I, for one, appreciate it. She is very dilligent in this regard and I don't believe she has any ulterior motive other than wanting to see this case resolved.

Very true PF,

Despite the many arguments with Candy on many other issues, she is very hard working on this and other cases and it is appreciated. What I don't understand are the people that would criticize an update on what is going on. Had THIS foundation out of all the ones started, been updated and kept up, you can bet the applause would have been deafening from the Ramsey supporters

I would have thought whether the news was good or bad, the updates would be appreciated

I don't think they realize how GUILTY their inactions continue to make them look. Any other family of a cold case murdered child, would be ecstatic that maybe some "new eyes" might have found some previously overlooked information or facts that had not been thoroughly researched and just wanted to attempt to clarify some things.

It is NOT a normal reaction for an innocent family in my opinion.

There's not one falsehood in Candy's post and they attack her because it's the God honest truth! Tisk tisk leave it to Lynette to slap someone for telling the truth, the horrible ugly truth. If Candy posted a lie they knew was a lie but liked anyway, they'd give her one of those A+ Moonjack high fives and repeat the lie til the end of time.

Nelly, you wouldn't know the God honest truth if it came along and bit you in the butt, now would you?

Yes, she would. Eva is one of the most well informed people concerning this case with tons of common sense, no less.

Hi Viper. Christmas day was lovely but very HOT as it's summer here. I'm loving the holidays! I only go back to work on the 10th January. How was your Christmas? Did Santa spoil you?

I agree. My problem with Candy is the VENOM she spews forth. It's unkind and unnecessary.

The important question is did Santa spoil you, Lynette? Wish you could send some of your heat here, it is cold and blustery.

I think the RST ought to build Smit a shrine!
Lou Smit did contribute to the document, as did John Ramsey, and a few others. It was reviewed and edited and certain nuances were incorporated to broaden the text in some areas and to narrow it in others. Lou Smit had worked tirelessly on the case and had made great contributions to Colorado law enforcement in general and the JonBenet Ramsey case in particular. He was such a well respected police officer that one man actually requested Lou Smit as his Prisoner Designated Escort. It was Lou Smit who prayed with him in the Holding Cell and helped him make that walk with courage and dignity.

The best "shrine" to Lou Smit would be to find the intruder.

Then the best shrine will be no shrine, because that elusive intruder just cannot seem to be found even with the best of the best people on the case. Is the intruder elusive or are the people chasing him not 'the best'?

Even wonderful people, LE included, make errors in judgement at times; Lou is not supernatural, therefore subject to the same human flaws as the rest of the population and capable of making mistakes as evidenced by the many he has made in this case. He may be adored but he was still human

The only "shrine" that is deserved is to JBR; how easily so many forget that SHE is the victim here and has yet to receive justice and likely never will

I think our "shrine" to JonBenet can be best exemplified by doing what Lou Smit often said, and that is "to place ourselves in the victim's shoes". He often said, "Walk in the victim's shoes".

If we can visualize ourselves in her tiny shoes, our determination to find her killer will be rewarded a hundred fold.

Whatever one thinks of Lou Smit, there can be no opposition to his sincerety in wanting to find her killer. I think the same can be said of Steve Thomas.

Santa was very good to me this year, Seuss. He brought me everything on my list plus more. Did he bring you lots of goodies too?

I would put some heat in a box and post it to you, but I don't know your postal address, so just keep warm, take your vitamins and wait for better (or warmer) days.

Seriously though I've seen the terrible blizzards on the East Coast and it's not a joke. Some people were stuck in a traffic jam for eleven hours! Poor people, that's awful.
