A Salute to Steve Thomas

He did his best for Jonbenet under the less than ideal working conditions of a negligent corrupt District Attorney.

Something was wrong from the beginning. The actions of the DA were off base. The avenue of the DA's office speaking with Ramsey attorneys should not have even been paved. They never should have allowed Patsy's sister to remove evidence from the crime scene. The DA should never act as intermediairy between suspect and police. The Ramseys and their attorneys should have been speaking with police and nobody else.

Thomas' ability to report the situation with his book Inside The Ramsey Murder Investigation is instrumental for the public to understand the conflict of interest problem. The Grand Jury findings - with an indictment of John and Patsy Ramsey for child abuse leading to death support they were on to the extrodinary circumstances. Just because Steve did not testify before the Grand Jury does not mean the information he gathered was not discovered by them independently.

A salute to Steve Thomas.

Steve Thomas did an honorable job at all times. He was a well trained college educated professional.

John Ramsey can't even be honest about the emotional distress his children were suffering before Jonbenet died. He can't be honest about the autopsy finding his 6 year old girl had been sexually molested to the point her vagina was oversized for her age.

John and Patsy didn't question this, not one bit, not even to the point of investagitng weither their peculiar son had also been the victim of sexual abuse, there had to have been a reason Burke was leaving his feces in pjs instead of a toilet.

I agree MJ

The biggest impact on personal lives were negative and fell upon those people who did NOT kill JBR, and did everything in their power to ruin an investigation with lies, deceit, and corruption!

Steve Thomas and others paid a lifetime price for their desire to see justice for a little girl while those responsible got richer and led a privileged lifestyle to this day.

such a disgrace

There are heroes and villians in this case. Thomas is on top of the hero list. But he was wrong about who did what and why.

Steve Thomas is a hero who stood up for JonBenet. If not for his extraordinary struggle to uncover the truth, countless other would have been silenced and succumbed to the Team Ramsey Juggernaut of threats, intimidation, and actual reprisals for saying the truth.

Post of the day MJ..especially the FACT that neither parent questioned the molestation of their baby. I hope John Ramsey meets a fate worse than anyone can ever imagine.

It's a good think for JonBenet that Charlie Brennan didn't quit after 18 months like Thomas did.

Charlie Brennan was threatened, screamed and harranged at by Lin Wood, and he stood tall for Justice, unlike Thomas and his unbelievably sleazy deal with the Ramseys.

I tried to post several times last week what Mimi Wesson said in Linda Arndt's depo about Thomas, but it was taken down as fast as I could post it. People should know what I 'm talking about because they are the only ones in the dark about it.

Thomas's deal with the Ramseys, after all the media attention he was given to say Patsy did it,(Chief Kolar did not get one percent of the media attention Thomas did for his book) led the mainstream media to drop any parent did it theory like a rock, caused Carnes to say the crime was more likely to have been committed by an intruder, caused Lacy to agree with that, and led to intruder theory only coverage by the media, and Lacy ultimately exponorated them.

Why did the protagonists sue this antagonist?
He was a narc, not a crime scene investigator.
The question is, why was he ever put on this case?
Beckner had more experience.
The PERPETRATORS of this crime sued Steve Thomas to frighten everyone else who they suspected would be brave enough to come forward and expose the truth about this case. They had mixed results. I certainly won't write that Steve Thomas was correct about everything in the case, but overall he was able to figure who was responsible for JonBenet's death. Even for a highly 'respected' investigator like Lou Smit, his theory necessitated a stun gun, once you establish that there was no stun gun--and this has been established ad nauseum--his theory falls apart.

It is really very simple.

The ball ST started rolling in 2000 with the publication of his book describing the political implications of the thwarted investigation into the murder of JBR, Kolar reinforced with his book, and it is all culminated by the release of the indictments of John and Patsy Ramsey proving without a shadow of a doubt the GJ did vote and issue a true bill on 2 counts for each parent for crimes relating to JBR's death.

You can argue and try to demean ST all you want Candy, but he started the ball rolling and had he not, the events of the last few days might not have happened.

I have every admiration for Charlie Brennan as well for never giving up on this case and never giving in to the uninformed mainstream media.

Irony is my favorite.

You support child molesting child killers.

At least Thomas pulled his gun as a police officer in a dangerous situation where lives were being threatened.

Since you take issue with that, it's clear you support drug trafficking as well.

Your beloved Ramsey bashed and strangled a six year old little girl--whom someone had been sexually assaulting for some time.

Typical Ramsey-loving shill: your moral high-ground is about at the level of a snake's belly.

Steve Thomas may no longer support the exact RDI theory he put forth in his book. A lot of new information developed since then including interviews with the suspects.

This isn't a court of law and no one has to prove anything. Reasonable people read, study, think, evaluate, and form an opinion. Everyone has one, even a Grand Jury of 12 people who listened to both sides of the argument.

Ramsey's don't have to prove their innocence!
You have too prove their guilt.
Prove it!
PS. Perhaps if you had the map to couple with the ransom note, and crime scenes, you could!
Now you are just bring stupid and dude you are fooling no one.

Hi Steve,

Yeah, we have pretty much figured out who it is and the best thing anyone here can do, now that it is obvious the old troll who comes and goes after topix kicks him/her off, is to ignore the posts and report as warranted.

Of course, you'll still have "some" who don't care if it is a troll or not, so long as they can cheerlead for IDI and the truth be damned :)
