Be Careful What You Reveal Here

It's my personal opinion that at least ONE of the posters here could honestly be dangerous. When people discuss a murder, one always has to be aware that "strange" people, who might possibly be involved in crime themselves might be posting.

I don't think anyone on this board has taken more verbal abuse than I have from one poster I will not name. Just look at this. I said:

Actually, the poster said it was an intervention over "the shape Patsy was in." Not JonBenet.

The whole point is that none of us knows who (or what) others might be or what they might be capable of.

I would NEVER post to another person in language like the above no matter what. In my personal opinion, anyone who would do so is sick, psychotic, and possibly dangerous.

I can well protect myself. I just think other posters should take note and be careful of the personal information the post here. Remember, if someone can be abusive verbally, they can be abusive in other ways as well. And if they can be abusive to ME, they can be abusive to YOU.

I agree with you CSI. Another poster back in the early days of this case actually showed up at the workplace of another poster to intimidate them. In fact it could be the same poster under another hat. This same person also tried to influence the grand jury.

It's never a good idea to share any personal information on the internet. It's risky even when you register at privately owned forums unless you know who you are dealing with. I remember back in the early days the regrets many posters had registering at Jameson's forum. She too, contacted posters' places of business and homes, etc., creating problems for those who dared to disagree with her or call her out on blatant lies. She was notorious for doing such things.

It's dangerous if you aren't careful. Never give out personal info, period!

Yes, I'm careful where I register, too. Even visiting a private forum allows the forum owner to capture your IP. That's why I'm careful about what links I click on and what sites I visit. If in doubt, I'll use a proxy IP.

Biz and Capricorn, I do not put it past some posters to show up at the home or work place of others.

The Internet has a lot of valuable features, but one of the bad ones is that people who are inclined can find out the personal details of just about anyone at all. I know on the Jeffrey MacDonald thread, some of the posters are looking up lawsuits his current "wife" is involved in.

I would never want the poster here, who's posting to me LIKE he's psychotic to know my name or where I live, etc.

She should have been concerned with the fact that her daughter was being molested, was still wetting the bed, and couldn't read or write. The problem is, I did stop, but he kept coming after me, saying I posted "revealing" photos and that I needed a dental surgeon (I never posted a photo or anything about my teeth, that's just totally nuts), saying I'm into S&M, when I've never posted anything personal here, and I'm certainly not into S&M or anything that wouldn't be considered "normal" by the vast majority of people.
