Hardly an objective comment Henri, you are letting your obsession with FW cloud your thought processes. Please share with us how you personally know Chief Kolar and detail for us, if you will, his job-related capabilities, or lack thereof.

Kolar is just another stupid Boulder cop who is in the Fleet White camp. Kolar couldn't investigate a barking dog problem properly.
If I am not mistaken, neither of these men built a case leading to the arrest / conviction of anyone in the last 15-16 years, is that how you see it too? Tunnel Vision works both directions Henri, as I am sure you can understand from your 30+ years of declaring MacDonaldÂ’s innocence despite the evidence presented that convicted him all those years ago. Lou Smit was excellent at manufacturing so-called evidence and attempting to present it as factual which better describes tunnel vision than anything else in the Ramsey case.

There comes a time in any investigation when people are proven not to have been at the scene of the crime, and are taken off the short list of suspects by the investigators. Only in your world can people be in two separate places at the same time complete with the means, motive and opportunity to commit the crime with no basis whatsoever other than you want them to be guilty.
Henri McPhee wrote:
Lou Smit and Detective Steve Ainsworth were experienced homicide detectives who knew how important it was not to disregard leads and suspects in these sort of cases, and not to have tunnel vision.

<quoted text> Candy, it may be your opinion that the intruder theory is bogus and YOU may have great faith that James Kolar is a brave, wonderful, talented, fearless investigator, but there are many of us who are a lot more level-headed and therefore exercise some reserve in our assessment of him and the "REAL evidence" he presents in his book. If this "evidence" was real, it must surely have been presented to the Grand Jury and if it "completely demolishes" the intruder theory, why was the Grand Jury not convinced? After all, if an intruder didn't kill JonBenet, it could only have been the Ramseys, right? So, why were the Ramseys not indicted?
Oh for Christ sake Lynette - when in God's name are you going to come up with a decent argument besides "why weren't they indicted". It gets #$#% old. The book is excellent and a great read and open up your mind and read it. Myopic vision does not aid anything in trying to get answers. At the very least, read it if you are going to talk about it.

I have yet to hear from an IDI that didn't already have a preconceived notion about the book before they read it - which of course, obscures anything they 'might' have learned from it.

I have never posted on this site, but I just finished James Kolar's book. It revealed a great deal & changed my mind about many assumptions I'd previously had (the stun gun, foreign DNA in the undies, the 911 call, etc.) It also was EXTREMELY informative on issues I never knew about (the fecal matter, the books on how to deal with troubled children given to J&P by P's mother, etc.) When the murder first happened, I lived in CO. I initially was of the opinion that the parents did or were involved. After seeing Lou Smit interviews, I changed my mind and thought I'd gotten it all wrong. NOW, after reading this book (and going back and re-reading Steve Thomas' book), I believe that BDI. Regardless of what opinion you come away with, I urge anyone interested in the case to read Kolar's book. The evidence is extremely compelling and it will make you think.

The evidence is compelling but no matter what, you still have to read it with an open mind to make it compelling and to make one think. When those who would protect the Ramseys at all costs, read a book such as this, rest assured that it isn't with an open mind and the evidence will just be tossed aside as fabricated

Some people don't like the truth and the truth is that they had an entire team of people trying to pump the public full of false information, especially Lou Smit. That was a real eye opener for me personally.

I thought he was truly a believer in Ramsey innocence but have since learned, especially from that video, no matter what you take away from it, that Smit intentionally tried to lie to the public which now has made him one of the bad guys IMO
