From a friend of mine in Colorado: Rielle Hunter, the PSYCHO, fatal attraction ex girlfriend of John Edwards, and the one leaking all this to the Enquirer, is the former daughter in law of Alex Hunter! She was born Lisa Druck, and married Kip Hunter, Alex's son, LOL.

She gets around.

Check out this site on this whole scandal:

isn't this a bit of "pablum" for your brain, Candy? lol

... and Senator John Edwards was the innocent victim of Rielle Hunter. GMAB!
candy ... John Edwards takes full responsibility for his choices ... for his despicable betrayal of his wife and family.
You must be thinking about John Ramsey. Yeah ... that's it! John Ramsey attempted to blame a "fatal attraction" rather than take personal responsibility for his infidelity ... his infidelity that lasted TWO YEARS.
SENATOR JOHN EDWARDS

Edwards admits to extramarital affair
"I am responsible for it. I alone am responsible for it," Edwards said on ABC News "Nightline."
Edwards told the network that his rise from "a small town boy in North Carolina" who "came from nothing" to a successful lawyer, U.S. senator and national public figure "fed a self-focus, an egotism, a narcissism that leads you to believe that you can do whatever you want."
In a written statement Friday, Edwards said, "In 2006, I made a serious error in judgment and conducted myself in a way that was disloyal to my family and to my core beliefs. I recognized my mistake and I told my wife that I had a liaison with another woman, and I asked for her forgiveness."
"You cannot beat me up more than I have already beaten up myself. I have been stripped bare and will now work with everything I have to help my family and others who need my help."
INTERVIEW WITH JOHN RAMSEY
JUNE 23RD, 1998
23 LOU SMIT: Could I interject
24 you're talking about Gloria Williams?
25 JOHN RAMSEY:(Nodding).
1 LOU SMIT: Have you ever thought,
2 you know you had claimed in that first letter
3 you sent to me or in the letter that was sent to
4 me, that she had kind of a fatal attraction type
5 personality. How did you attribute that? I
6 mean --
7 JOHN RAMSEY: Well, just -- we
8 hired her as a secretary in a small office, and
9 you know, I was vulnerable, but not -- not
10 crossing the line. We were at a Christmas party
11 that this office building had, she said gee, I
12 left something up in my office, do you have a
13 key? And so I went up, unlocked the door and as
14 soon as the door unlocked she turned around and
15 kissed me. And then I just kind of got sucked
16 in. But it was a, just a very strong physical
18 LOU SMIT: How long did that last
20 JOHN RAMSEY: Oh, two years,
21 maybe. It was one of the things I got into and
22 I couldn't get out. She was extremely
23 aggressive. Like you know, I tried to, you know

I have been reading the published articles on FOX and CNN and ... unless I missed it ... there are no allegations regarding Rielle Hunter being the source of the leak to the National Enquirer.
However ... if your friend's source in regards to Rielle Hunter being the former DIL to Alex Hunter ... it is indeed a small small world.
Tabloid Reporter Gives Story Behind Edwards Story

By Judson Berger
The initial tip came shortly before the rendezvous ...
So while Edwards was at a press event with Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the Enquirer positioned a team of up to seven reporters at the hotel ...

They are snickering about this woman in Colorado big time. She's well known, party girl, etc. What kind of a woman is waiting for a man's wife to die, and leaks this info while the wife is undergoing chemo? The worst kind, IMO. And while Edwards said he would take a DNA paternity test, suddenly she says she doesn't want one. I hope Edwards forces the issue and makes sure the paternity issue is settled. We'll be hearing a lot more about her, I'm postiive.
#9 Aug 9, 2008
Don't you think there's a reason she doesn't want a paternity test? He's been paying her off through a friend $15,000 per month..whisked out of NC....
AND, asked his devoted friend Andrew Young to fall on his sword and say HE was the father!
I'm a hard core liberal...BUT, John Edwards is a sanctimonious jerk.

Is Rielle Hunter the Enquirer's source?
#11 Aug 9, 2008
We don't know for sure if she was the source...some speculate she was...the Enquirer says no.
NE has had a source for over a year...I doubt that source was Hunter.
#12 Aug 9, 2008
What Rielle Hunter told me:
#14 Aug 9, 2008
Candy ... I have not read an publication or heard on any media outlet that Hunter is the source of the leak. Link please.
I contend that Hunter has been compensated by Edwards to distance him from the paternity of her baby. This is the reason that she not allowing her baby to be tested. This is reason I find it hard to believe that Hunter was the leak to the Enquirer in regards to the late night hotel "meeting".
IMO Edwards is dispicable for cheating on his wife ... period!!! If he can betray the woman ... the mother of his children ... who he promised to love ... to cherish and ... to forsake all others ... what does that tell you about his promises as a politician to the American people.
IMO Hunter is just as despicable for having an affair with a married man ... period!!! Did she for one minute empathize with Edward's wife? It is the worst betrayal that one woman can bestow upon another.
#15 Aug 9, 2008
Unfortunately OVER HALF of the American men in this country cheat on their wives and about 40% of women cheat on their husbands. The worst part of this story is the fact it was publicized as was done with the Clintons and any other man that cheats on his wife or wife cheats on the husband.
It should be between the wife and the husband and is their decision as to whether or not they remain together after infidelity. Hard enough for them to try to work through this and worse when the whole world knows. It's none of my business although I do agree it's despicable. There are many people being cheated on and some just do not know it.

Edwards' statement admitting affair
By The Associated Press – 1 day ago
In the course of several campaigns, I started to believe that I was special and became increasingly egocentric and narcissistic.
In his press release ... John Edwards was implying that his wife ... the mother of his children ... the woman who was enduring the ravages of cancer treatment was not a consideration when he made his "egocentric and narcissistic" choice to disregard his marriage vows and enter into a sexual relationship with Rielle Hunter.
IMO ... bottom line ... the deep emotional pain that Elizabeth Edwards must be experiencing was a direct result of her husband's betrayal. Loyal husbands just say "NO". Loyal husbands avoid comproming situations.

Here is Edwards on Clinton on Feb. 12, 1999:
"I think this President has shown a remarkable disrespect for his office, for the moral dimensions of leadership, for his friends, for his wife, for his precious daughter. It is breathtaking to me the level to which that disrespect has risen."
Later, Edwards debated whether Clinton intended to obstruct justice when he talked with a White House employee:
"We have a man who has just been confronted with this problem, who is political by nature. And do we really believe that the first thing he thought about is, "I'm going to go protect myself legally'"? I suspect the first thing he thought about is "I'm going to protect myself politically.'' He was worried about his family finding out. He was worried about the rest of the staff finding out. He was worried about the press finding out."

What difference does it make WHO tipped off the Enquirer?
The FACT is that John Edwards was having an affair and possibly a child with Hunter. Enquirer or not, Mrs. Edwards knew about this in 2006 and the FACT is that Hunter didn't put a gun to Edwards' head and drag him to bed (multiple times).
While it is certainly a coincidence that she is Alex Hunter's ex DIL, so what? What makes anyone so sure that she was Edwards' "first"? Who knows what Alex's son did while they were married?
Once again those "holier than thou" show themselves. Little by little, all those who "preached" during the Clinton scandal are being taught a hard lesson
It takes two to have an affair
Remember, those glass houses shatter easily
Slowly, but surely, now with media capabilities, Washington will be deserted :)

THE ALEX HUNTER (JONBENET) AND RIELLE HUNTER (EDWARDS) CONNECTION
Who Is Rielle Hunter?
Friday, August 08, 2008
By Roger Friedman
It’s less than six degrees of separation from one unsolved mystery to another, or from the JonBenet Ramsey murder case to the current reported scandal involving former presidential candidate John Edwards.
The saga took a strange turn last month when the ex-senator was reportedly found cowering in a bathroom at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., in the middle of the night, reportedly after visiting a former campaign worker who a supermarket tabloid says is the mother of his baby girl.
That woman — Rielle Hunter — knows about scandal. During her decade-long marriage, her father-in-law was the prosecutor in the celebrated Ramsey case in Boulder, Colo.
Rielle Hunter was first known as Lisa Druck. But some time in the late '80s, after moving to Los Angeles from New York, the Florida native met and married Alexander "Kip" Munro Hunter III.
Kip’s father, Alexander Munro Hunter, was the famous Boulder district attorney who, beginning in 1996, tried but failed to find and prosecute 6-year-old JonBenet’s killer. The crime — still unsolved — remains an international sensation.

It's likely she knows lots about corruption, bribery, and blackmail too. That's how Hunter ran his office and likely his family.

Quote: What difference does it make WHO tipped off the Enquirer?
Are you kidding? It goes to MOTIVE. The leaker was paid BIG BUCKS, the high six figures for a story like this. Also, if this woman had any deal with Edwards, it's NULL AND VOID by her leaks. You can't have it both ways. You either take the money and shut up, or you lose the money if you leak. And of course, leakers only say what they want out, as was shown with Thomas they leave out THE REST OF THE STORY, such as unsourced DNA in the child's panties that hurts the $$$$$ value of their leaks.
Second, it goes to CREDIBILITY. HOW INTERESTING that Edwards is the only one that wants the paternity test. Hir backed down as soon as hir could. The Enquirer articles have been specific that HE is the father of the child. I hope he forces the issue.
