Hi Folks,
I just got through talking with my daughter on the DNA found possibly being non-human. Her answer is that is "extremely unlikely if not impossible" because you go by sequences. She thinks it would be remotely possible if you had only one or two markers, but still, very unlikely, because with only a few markers, the criminalists would declare the DNA found as "unuseable", "unreadable" or non-existant.

I hope this helps.

Yes it is always good to have an absurd idea pointed out as being absurd. Good job. Now have someone point out the difference to you between one stick and two.

Ask your daughter if the difference between human and alien DNA can be tested.

No need to ask that, Of course it can, and it is done all the time in forensics. For instance, using lumenal, the criminalist finds blood in the kitchen sink. It could be that the killer washed the murder weapon there, or it could be that someone cut up a chicken, pork, or beef there. The difference can be tested even if it is a mixture.

Sorry, I tried to get professional help for you, but couldn't find any, so I tried a kindergarten teacher, and she said you are beyond hope.

Of course it does. Forensics will use plant DNA,or non-human animal DNA. In a couple of cases, they used DNA from diatoms.

I don't have to. I happen to know the difference. However, since you don't know, you can ask me. Of course, since you admit that you are an idiot, I can understand your simple mind and that you cannot tell the difference..
