Thanks Candy. I have always marvelled at how amazingly strong and resilient humans can be in the face of the most terrible tragedies. How do people like the Ramseys, the McCanns, the Chamberlains and others endure the unendurable and somehow manage to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives? I would like to read this book as it would definitely provide some understanding and insight. IMO it would also be an inspiration to others experiencing personal tragedies.

I am currently reading the book "Madeleine" by Kate McCann and can highly recommend it. It's a factual account of what happened as told by Kate McCann herself and all proceeds go towards the "Find Madeleine" fund.

I wonder where the proceeds from John's new book will go? Charity? Another "foundation"?

I have not read any book on the case, I'm afraid I'll be sold to one side or the other. I've read excerpts from each, but I'm quite hesitant about reading any of them fully. Is there a non-biased book on the market? Likely not...

If you really want knowledge about the case you need to read more than excerpts. The excerpts are probably also to one side or the other and out of context to the rest of the books. It's important to read them all and then you can form an educated opinion. If you are going solely on the excerpts and forums you are reading, you are lacking a lot of information

It depends how "into" the case you are, but if you want to be informed, reading the books is very helpful and informative

You are welcome. As Capricorn mentioned, you are missing a lot of information if you don't read the books, especially coming into this case as late as you have.

When did that book come out? I put a hold on it from the Denver Public Library and there were 4 copies all checked out already.

That's interesting, BM. But since it's Denver, there's bound to be a lot of interest. I wonder if interest in the book is that high elsewhere...

Thanks Candy:D I liked the 'best is yet to come in life', comment at the end..yeah, the further in time, the less chance there'll be an arrest.
Reading his book, IMO, is the equivalent to reading Casey Anthony's..bird cage liners.

It isn't out yet. It's being released on March 14th.

The untold story of how John Ramsey survived unspeakable tragedy and learned to hope again.

Like the biblical Job, John Ramsey had it all-wealthy, social position, a loving family. And like Job, Ramsey was destined for great affliction, as many of the most precious things in his life were cruelly taken from him.

First came the death of his eldest daughter in a car accident in 1992. Then, four years later, his beloved six-year-old, JonBenét, was murdered; Ramsey was the one who discovered her body, concealed in the basement of his family's home. The case drew international media attention, and-compounding Ramsey's woe-suspicion unfairly focused on Ramsey and his wife, Patsy. Although they were ultimately cleared of any connection with the crime, Ramsey's sorrows did not end. In 2006, Patsy died, at 49, of ovarian cancer.

In this remarkable book, Ramsey reveals how he was sustained by faith during the long period of spiritual darkness, and he offers hope and encouragement to others who suffer tragedy and injustice.

I've seen the first few pages of the first chapter in John Ramsey's new book. Just to show I know what I'm talking about he says "I'll start at Christmas, because I have to." You bet he has to, it's the first place and time most people ever heard of him want to know about from him about. I'm not going to say anything else about that chapter NOW in the hope it's gone to the printers for good, AND THEY CAN'T CHANGE ANYTHING. I'm not going to give them ANY hint what REALLY stood out to my BORG eyes.

Here are also the chapter titles and pages that the chapter is supposed to start on (if it's printed in it's final edition, WHICH I HOPE):
