No he won't. He's smart, and won't even consider trying anything he can't win. AND HIS GREAT WIN RECORD AS DA BACKS HIS ANALYTICAL SKILL about what cases to try.

With all due respect to whomever deserves it, whether it be Garnett or someone higher, it is easy to have a great "win record" if you only pursue cases that you can win

That's not really the right answer for Garnett or anyone else to just shrug their shoulders about what Hunter and Lacy did. It may keep their "win record" in good standing, but that is not what the job entails

Deciding what cases to try based on keeping up your record OR doing what is morally right and what you were hired to do by the people who elected you is not the sign of a proper public servant.

A public servant has a job to do whether he will further his career or not and has to do what is MORALLY as well as legally proper without worrying about his future career to the exclusion of doing the right and just thing

If Garnett goes near the Ramsey case it will harm his carrer no matter his performance in other cases.
There better be more moves by Brennan. Ganett's response to this one is somehting like "Just more Drama".
I have to sadly agree

Unfortunately for the citizens of Boulder, the DA's first concern should be for the citizens of Boulder.

If he stays away from Hunter and this case, he is no better than Hunter.

He may speak "pretty" and seduce a few with the banter, but his actions will be what really determines what kind of man he is. Just because he does his job and prosecutes more cases than Hunter did (actually, with Hunter's record, the man in the street has probably prosecuted more cases than Hunter)doesn't make him a great DA

I was hoping that the new DA, Garnett would show us all that he was no Hunter, but that seems to NOT be the case.

Too bad for JBR and the citizens of Boulder

Again, no it isn't. He said the Ramsey case was one of the cold cases they would love to and be proud to solve and prosecute.

Thanks to Charlie's BRAVERY, we've had an earthquake in this case. It's a week past the earthquake, and nothing is ever the same after such an event. We'll have to see OVER TIME how this all shakes out, and what comes out it.

Talk is cheap Candy.

As the DA there are things he has the power and influence to do and things that he can demand INCLUDING the release of various pieces of evidence and the GJ information. He could call in a different investigative team, the FBI, demand a special prosecutor to review the case, give it to another part of Colorado for them to review...there are many options

At the very least he has the power to do way more than he is doing which appears to be NOTHING

Garnett's 'moves' will appear as court actions. This revelation was via media as Brennan is a journalist.

Garnett has every opportunity to win if he pursues John Ramsey for murder.

JonBenet was not dead when the garrote was tightened around her neck. Both John and Patsy only thought she was dead, killed by Burke cracking her skull with a golf club. A brain injury of that magnitude mimics death. She appeared dead with no palpable pulse or chest movements associated with breathing but that does not constitute the legal perimeters of death. JonBenet was murdered. Her life, though fragile and in a precarious state was ended abruptly via criminal behavior.

John Ramsey has been running scared for over 15 years and rightly so. Patsy didn’t have the training or aptitude for garroting JonBenet. John Ramsey did via his military service in the Philippines. Patsy was trained as a journalist and left her persona all over the ostentatious ‘ransom note’.

This was an incredibly mentally unstable family with multiple issues and problems. The children were so affected by the circumstances and dysfunction they didn’t even use the toilet for bowel movements and needed therapy. The truth of JonBenet’s death reflects her life. Patsy was a stage mother on crack. John was afraid of her and did what she requested of him.

Garnett will win easily if he pursues John Ramsey for murder but it’s not an important case to adjudicate; the public does not need to be protected from a criminally insane murderer. It could however serve to monetarily benefit Colorado and people that were sideswiped in the atrocious breach of justice.

It’s a far simpler case than anyone realizes.

All they need is Burke on the stand.

Nothing is more effective than the testimony of a hostile witness.
