Today, 6 August, is JonBenet's birthday and had she lived, she would have been 20 years old. How sad that her life was snuffed out decades before her time.

Thinking of you on this, your special day, little angel. You will never be forgotten.

A little Princess is dead,a monster resigned on this day, her birthday...money was delivered to this minataur, in thousdand's, while this Pig sits in his comfort, the little girls blood cries out from her grave, why did he do this to me and my mommy, daddy& little brother... He said he wanted justice for me, but at the same time he fought with the authorities, and denied I was hit with a stungun while I slept in the sanctity of my home... But I know that those of you walking above me by 6ft. are going to find my killer, and bring all of this to an end... yes God is on your side, I am with Jesus & mommy now, and all is ok, and our God is on your side... Today I will blow out 20 candles for all of you... Love you all, from heaven, JonBenet Ramsey...

Tomorrow would have been your 21st birthday, JonBenet. Happy birthday in heaven, sweet angel. We will never forget you.

Some special memories of JonBenet by those who knew her:

"She was just a normal, happy child," said her uncle Jeff Ramsey. "Just a good kid.

"Sometimes quiet, sometimes a showgirl, always smiling."

"A love of sparkly things. Her homemade fruit rollups. Playing fetch with her dog, Jacques."

"She was a funny, spunky kid who often spent kindergarten nap time trading secret hand signals and soft giggles with a little boy on the next mat."

"She was a sweet, remarkably caring child who gave presents to Santa, who made sure her older brother, Burke, got his share of the warm attention that so often fell on her."

"She wasn't at all spoiled. I never saw her when she was cross. I never saw her that way," said Irene Wills, whose daughter Lucinda was John Ramsey's first wife. "She did as she was told.

"She was just a typical 6-year-old, a very loving child," Wills said, clutching that photo of their last moment together.

Her abrupt life seems to have truly stirred something in the people closest to her. There is the man who carried JonBenet's Christmas gift - a vial of gold glitter - into his heart surgery for good luck. There's the pageant mom whose poem about JonBenet reveals how through "a whisper and a touch" the little girl could "encourage and inspire our dreams that mean so much.

"She may have been living with wealthy parents in a beautiful Tudor house near Chautauqua Auditorium, but JonBenet never took on the affectations of a little rich girl, never seemed overly pampered" say neighbors and family members. "Her most precious presents were quite pedestrian - a puppy for her fourth birthday, a new bike last Christmas."

"The child was so considerate of her peers," said a neighbor who sometimes babysat for JonBenet and Burke. "We went to their parties, and she would have multitudes of her classmates there, even the neighborhood children. She had no feeling of ruling them out or being better than they." A report card from her first and only trimester at High Peaks Elementary School bears that out. Academically, she flourished at the Boulder school, earning high marks for identifying words, counting to 100 and recognizing patterns. Socially, she was praised by her teacher for being thoughtful, courteous, respectful and diligent.

"JonBenet is a pleasure to have in class," her teacher wrote. "She is a confident, positive student who works hard on all assignments. JonBenet's mature behavior makes her a positive role model for the other students."

At his first party in the Ramsey home in 1995, McReynolds said he was instantly struck by JonBenet's quiet smile and her "pensive, almost retiring" ways. He saw within her something he described as an angelic glow.

At that same party, the little girl handed McReynolds a vial of gold glitter as he was leaving. No child had ever given him a gift while playing Santa. She gave him another last Christmas.

JonBenet was not only beautiful in appearance, she was beautiful inside as well.

One other thing that I remember about her, was the bus driver remarking how without fail, every morning she wished a cheerful "Good Morning" to him.

Some people just have that quality to bring a ray of sunshine with them wherever they should go. JonBenet had that rare quality.

Heaven has surely been a brighter place since her arrival.

This is a sad anniversary. Chief Kolar's book and bravery gives hope, and I'm praying for a breakthrough, that the police get the final pieces of information they need to charge this case. Thanks to so many who have done so much to bring about Justice for a murdered little girl.
