There is nothing consistent with an intruder theory, much less John's 'utterance' as you call it. This tells me you have read the posts about 'excited utterances', and it is the next hair you are going to attempt to split.
You used to be better at concealing your true intentions to mislead and misdirect.

Of course I read the posts about 'excited utterances!' I was the other side of that discussion; remember? Here’s one of my posts from that discussion:

If any of the RDI theory is true, than Mr Ramsey made a deliberate and conscious decision to “discover” the body, he only needed Arnt or someone to present him with opportunity. Deliberate and conscious decision – he went to the basement knowing that he was going to “find” the body and bring it upstairs.

An “excited utterance” is something that we could expect him to make if he had “innocently” discovered the body, and if he was shocked by that discovery. This is not consistent with any RDI argument.

If John made a deliberate and conscious decision to "discover" the body he would also have to realize that he would not be alone when that happened, would have been a complete idiot to go inside, "discover" the body, and say "oh, here she is" or "there you are you little scamp"; ridiculous

He would HAVE to be shocked, etc. and would have to realize that he had to make an exclamation/excited utterance, etc. if he wanted anyone to believe he was surprised

Part of the staging would include both parents being shocked and crazed when the body was found, no matter who found it and no matter under what circumstances. After all, this was supposed to be a kidnapping and no matter how it may have ended, the Ramseys knew that they had to be in hysterics in order to keep up the façade

That would have been an easy guess for me that you were on the opposite side of the conversation :)

There is no “given” that marries excited utterance and innocence, because there are too many variables – shock – expected behavior to NOT look guilty – body changes from when he left her to when he retrieved her (what if his plan was to carry her upstairs lovingly cradling her and yet when he retrieved her she was stiff as a board?) He planned how he would act and then couldn’t act that way – stress of having to wait around for 7 hours to “find” her since the police missed her in their initial search. There are many variations of how and why it happened, not just one.
