There are private areas to more than one religion. Actually there are no priests in the temple. There is a prophet and there are elders who hold the priesthood (which is a title) and there are Bishops and members of the Bishop's Ric, and other hierarchy, but they are not referred to as priests. Chances are she won't discuss her endowment ceremony either. Temple work is to remain within. The same as Confession is to remain within in other religions. Other religions are taught to obey commandments as well - there are 10 well known ones that pop to mind.

As I stated earlier, my best friend is a mormon. They are very good, moral people. They are taught to obey laws, and commandments. The one problem that I have with their religion is, they keep some of their religion a secret. Only faithfully mormons are allowed to go in the temple. They receive blessings from a priest inside the temple. When I asked what those "blessings" were my friend replied that is was a secret and she could not tell me.

Cult: 1) a cohesive social group devoted to beliefs or practices that the surrounding culture considers outside the mainstream, with a notably positive or negative popular perception;

IF your and my religion was adjudged in places where our religions are considered outside the mainstream, then it is true they would fit the definition.

But if taken considering the mainstream to be the normal and usual, then by no means could most religions be considered cults.
The phrase "surrounding culture" would be the basis for determination.

The "mainstream" doesn't consider a celibacy vow within the norm

The "mainstream" doesn't consider eating only fish on Friday within the norm

The "mainstream" doesn't consider forbidding birth control within the norm

The "mainstream" doesn't consider not eating milk with meat within the norm

The "mainstream" doesn't consider not turning on lightswitches or using electricity on the Sabbath (Saturday) the norm

The "mainstream" doesn't consider much of what religions do as the norm except for those who adhere to these rules and those people are considered cultish as well by definition

There are so many examples of what is considered outside the norm for every religion

None of these rules that our religions adhere to are considered "the norm" except by those who abide and adhere to them

Who were the missionaries who were visiting? That is the question.Who were they? They would have been people I'm sure the police would have wanted to speak with.

It was far more important to speak directly with John and Patsy Ramsey and they refused to be interviewed by detectives and had paid mouth pieces do the job. They stonewalled. It took 4 months for them to be questioned about their daughter's death. They had insane conditions that they had to be interviewed together (so they could match the LIES). The only parents that wouldn't help find who violated their child are guilty ones. Even 'today' police offered Burke a chance to come and clear the air and he refused.

Jonbenet wasn’t killed by missionaries but that type of information is necessary to review, it’s the type of information about who has been in contact with a child or any victim only a parent and family member can give. The Ramseys wouldn’t help the investigation, they refused for 4 cold dark months. They refused for a reason, shame and incredible guilt over a wasted life. Children’s lives and unfortunately their deaths are reflections of their parents. Jonbenet had a tortured childhood. She had the promise of great potential but Patsy’s pageants stole her identitiy and whoever sexually abused her chipped away at the potential ( IMO it was JAR) with the final blow being a catastrophic death.

Jonbenet was killed by something dysfunctional in the family. The children both exhibited symptoms of sexual abuse. Jonbenet's eroded female anatomy was found at autopsy but Burke's medical records were hidden away in shame and embarrassment. He did leave feces at the crime scene as a testament to the incredible problems they faced. This family was out of control and living on the edge, an intervention was planned. From Patsy's ridiculous kiddie pageants with bleached hair on a 4, 5, and 6 year old and dressing Jonbenet like a slut to John being so weak and unconcerned he allowed that to happen. You don’t have to look any further than the family. The case is solved but not prosecuted.
