Sen. Russell Pearce sat in a conference room with representatives from the Corrections Corporation of America and other anti immigrant hate groups (FAIR). Together they drafted model immigration legislation that was introduced into the Arizona Legislature two months later."

The legislation that became the Arizona immigration law (SB 1070)

Corrections Corporation of America (private Prison Industry. CCA officials have a pattern of donating to legislators in Arizona.

Last year, two men showed up in Benson, Ariz., a small desert town 60 miles from the Mexico border, offering a deal.

Glenn Nichols, the Benson city manager, remembers the pitch.

"The gentleman that's the main thrust of this thing has a huge turquoise ring on his finger," Nichols said. "He's a great big huge guy and I equated him to a car salesman."

What he was selling was a Private prison for women and children who were illegal immigrants.

"They talk [about] how positive this was going to be for the community," Nichols said, "the amount of money that we would realize from each prisoner on a daily rate."

But Nichols wasn't buying. He asked them how would they possibly keep a prison full for years — decades even — with illegal immigrants?

"They talked like they didn't have any doubt they could fill it," Nichols said.

THE PRIVATE PRISON INDUSTRY MAKES BILLIONS FROM ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. THEY FINANCIALLY SUPPORT POLITICIANS THAT OPPOSE IMMIGRATION REFORM.

Private prison firms and Anti-immigration hate groups have supported, lobbied for, and--either directly or indirectly--helped craft several anti-immigrant bills in different states.

Kris Kobach, elected as Kansas’s Republican Secretary of State is a champion of running on the non-issue of fraudulent voting by undocumented immigrants (doesn’t occur) so he can push a stringent voter ID law which will discourage or prohibit voting by the poor and elderly (who usually vote Democrat). Kobach has said he’ll continue to supplement his income as house counsel for FAIR (the Federation for American Immigration Reform) a anti-immigrant hate group. Kobach and FAIR get cities and states to pass unconstitutional anti-immigrant laws then Kobach milks the city and state, defending the law in court and losing. Kobach wrote the infamous anti-immigrant Arizona SB 1070 along with ALEC (the libertarian American Legislative Exchange Council) and backed by the Corrections Corporation of America.

The bottom line is to rile up the far right base with intolerance for immigrants through lies and deceptions while making huge profits at the same time, how much more unethical can these people really be? by deceiving poor Americans and profiteering on poor Mexicans

Nicely done.

It is eye opening to see how many top people on Brewer's staff are former CCA employees.

CCA spent $17.4 million lobbying the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Office of Management and Budget, the Bureau of Prisons, both houses of Congress, and others between 2002 and 2012.

Too bad, dimwit. Hope the shock of learning that this hideous act was carried out by two young, naive, ignorant, cowardly, radical Islamic religious fanatics acting on their own or led around by the nose by some prick mullah preaching jihad, doesn't stop your heart. Or, than again, maybe I hope that it will.
