N.C. gov. vetoes welfare drug testing bill

according to the article, the governor vetoed the drug test on the basis that it was too expensive.

well, I just did a google search and found out that the cost would be about 10 dollars for a 10 panel drug screen/test if you buy a pack of 100. as low as 18 dollar on a PER 10 panel drug screen.

now, the question is - is a cost of 10 to 20 dollars too high to screen out welfare applicants who would not be qualified because they are using the money for illicit drugs?

you tell me.

personally, I would charge a welfare applicant for the test. have them pay for it...would discourage those on drugs to even bother trying to get welfare.

just for fun.. do you want to know just how crazy these drug addicts are? read the following article written by an obvious drug addict. and also check out the comments.(nobody seems to know math.)

...something tells me the governor of north carolina - pat mccrory - doesn't know math.

maybe we should make a math test a pre-requisite for anybody applying for public office.
