Seriously? "What part of "ILLEGAL" don't you understand"?
What part don't you understand? Unlawful presence in the US is a civil offense. That places it into the same legal classification as a parking ticket. It is not a crime.
And how LONG can you keep a car parked illegally before it is TOWED away??

Civil laws and criminal laws both can have serious CONSEQUENCES when the law is not RESPECTED.

yes. just look at Arizona. They have had a a law on their books saying you will lose your business license if you hire illegals, for a decade now. they never enforce it.

and they keep leading the nation in hiring illegals and creating the problem they whine to the nanny state feds to clean up for them...

There are plenty of legal immigrants and naturalized citizens as well as illegal aliens employing illegal aliens.

<quoted text>its only a civil offense the first time because they want to get rid of them without a trial, anything after that is a felony,I've never faced felony charges the second time I got a parking ticket. You keep coming back with the same lame arguments, but I can't expect much from one of the biggest liars on this forum, that last one about how its a benefit for Americans when illegal aliens steal our ssn's really made you look like a complete moron.
What does any of this drivel have to do with the very very simple question?

It is not a felony the second time either you dope.

The schools in Puerto Rico must be lousy. You have no reasoning skills at all. Forget about your writing abilities.

true. but by showing my passport, I should have no problems. right?
as I see it... the only people who might be concerned by showing their ID are those who are illegal.
Passport should always work....Having travelled overseas a lot, i would carry a copy of the front(photo) page, rather than the actual passport....In US, driver's liscense is usually preferred....

My point is that exploiting illegal aliens is not done exclusively by Americans but in fact the majority of the exploitation is done by those from the illegal alienís own country.

Actually the state department advises the opposite. Carry your passport and keep a copy where you stay in case you lose the original. In most countries it is the law that you have you passport on you just as it is in the U.S. for non-citizens. The difference is that most countries will enforce the law even if you do nothing else to violate their laws.

I just wish your kind would stop being so hypocritical and dishonest....why not be upfront with your racism? Or is it that you know that would destroy whatever credibility you had?

read the supreme court ruling..
it is considered "obstruction to justice" if you refuse to comply with a request for id from a police officer.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obstruction_of_j...
in the case of an illegal, if a police officer has suspicions that you are illegal, he can ask you for your id. not being able to speak english would be cause for suspicion. don't you agree?
if you want to argue that it is racist, then, all a police officer has to do is add a few more persons of different color in his questioning. and that possible issue of racism is put to rest. again.. don't you agree?
bottomline, we have to have some logical recourse to filter out the illegals from the legals whether they be chinese, japanese or even mexican, etc. and the only way to do so is by ID.
get it done. NO AMNESTY!
Apparently you missed my point. It is the "suspicions" I'm talking about. Sometimes these "suspicions" are based solely on the color of a person's skin, or his/her accent.

Add to this the intense bigotry against Mexicans and other Latinos which has taken hold in this country. Too many harbor unreasonable ill will towards Mexicans, "legal" or otherwise. Large numbers of Mexicans who are American citiens have been humiliated and had their privacy invaded by police for the "crime" of having brown skin. That is not an America to be proud of.

my argument? I'm just showing what the supreme court ruled.
let me repeat... READ THE SUPREME COURT RULING..
are you suggesting that the supreme court judges made a ruling based on hate?
if you are illegal, you have absolutely no business being in the usa. PERIOD. this is not hate. this is simple commonsense.
if you are illegal, that means you are not a citizen of the usa. you are in fact a citizen of some other country. and that being the case, we the people of the usa are not responsible for your fat ass.
we are NOT responsible for your health care.. your education.. your jobs.. your welfare.. nadda. zilch.
HELL. JUST GET THE FU#K OUT OF MY COUNTRY ALREADY.
Your "Supreme Court" crutch is baloney. The intensity of your hatred is your real issue.

Why the huge debate over a civil offense? You tell me?

You can say "the second time is a felony" a thousand more times, but it does not change the fact you just pulled it out of your ass.

if I entered YOUR home without YOUR permission, and helped myself to food in your frig, expected YOU to pay for my education with YOUR hard earned money, and provide me a job... AGAIN without YOUR permission.

how would you feel?

listen, we all know what the issue here is. YOU illegals don't want us to be able to determine who is illegal and who is legal.

bottomline, that is the issue. it's not about racism.

the simple solution to your attempt at breaking our laws with impugnity is scheduling random police roadblocks where we will just ask everybody who enters the roadblocks for their id.

we will add random checks of businesses to see if they are hiring illegals.

it's all legal. and it's going to get done soon. when that unemployment figure goes above 25%, my guess is - the people will demand it to be done.

If anybody enters YOUR home without YOUR permission and sits down to eat, call the police immediately.

If you are trying to claim ownership of property that does not belong to you do not call the police. Somebody else will be doing that soon enough. Call a lawyer.

Confused, even if you were a U.S. citizen. Where did you see this person, and was he riding a pink elephant?

Now I'M the illegal?! Woo-hoo! Try to stay calm, Asian Guy. Those men in the white coats are your friends. They'll take you to a nice comfy room, where you can ricochet hither and yon off the rubber walls.

And for thinking I was having a conversation with a sane human being, I should join you.
