"Illegal immigrants who want to legalize their status must leave the country for as many as 10 years to apply. That's too harsh on those who marry spouses who are US citizens, critics say"

How about US citizens who to jail for robbing banks or selling drugs. 10, 15 or 20 years, this is too harsh for their families. Where are the people fighting for them?

They broke the law coming here and knew it when they done it. It's their own fault. Their family can move back with them if they really want to. Next time be careful who you marry.

Most amazing thing! I marry an illegal alien, have children, he is deported, what do I expect other than this?!!!

America has become flooded with people who do not expect to suffer the consequences for their actions!!! They did this know full well what the consequences would be. And now that they have done it, they expect something different!!! Amazing!

If you marry a Mexican, you're an idiot and need to leave the Country with him. Easy rule, and settles the problem fast.

Yeah, these racist Latino Activists don't realize when you break the law there consequences like the all people who break the law. For example, bank robbers don't get stay at home and pay a fine. They go to jail.
They have been given so many free passes, that they actually believe they ARE above our laws.

I think you are right. Too bad the feds can't enforce our laws because the Democrats are pandering to special interest groups.
Frankly, I think both sides have done their share of pandering. It's so sad to see how they have turned their backs on their own people, yet they get voted in over and over again. What does that say about the average voter?

You are right. They do not progress. They simply stay in the mentality of the Native Mexican tribes. Some people evolve and create. They progress and revitalize their Cultures. Some Country's fail at this, some succeed. America succeeded. We now have to civilize and pay for the intrusion of these failed cultures. They really don't change. They never learn Proper English, even after generations living here. It's why they are reviled.
