He, or at least God said, thou shalt not steal, and thou shalt not covet thy neighbours property. That is exactly what illegal aliens do, steal from Americans. That's what these people are, illegal aliens, not immigrants. Do you think everyone in the world has the right to move to the USA and get the same benefits as American citizens?

Plus we do take care of poor foreigners in their own country, both with private charities and with foreign aid.

Among consevative circles, jesus's instruction to give unto ceasar what is ceasar's is interprited to mean give unto ceasar whatever ceasar wants. However, jesus was no conservative. Maybe you should ask yourself...what do own that belongs ceasar.

Well, get back to that Bible and start reading about "Thou shalt not steal" and "Thou shalt not covet..." You know, the illegal aliens are coveting what we have. How is that going with what the Bible said?

You also should read where God says to follow man's law -- did you miss that part, too? Well, part of man's law happens to be our immigration laws, and those laws say the illegals have no right to be here.

Would you say we should just let anyone and everyone in to do as they please and live off of us? I mean, there are far poorer countries than Mexico -- so what about those other countries? Perhaps the Mexicans should go home to their much richer country (than many countries in Africa) and we should allow people from the poor African countries to take their place. How about that?

I disagree with your primace that "illegals" are stealing from americans by working in this country. I think your use of Gods commandment not to steal in this case is a stretch. On the other hand God commands us not to kill, and the topic of this thread is the killing of a man by three teenagers...teenagers that you have sympathized with.

And, it says "thou shalt not COVET" -- and that does not have anything to do with stealing...it has to do with DESIRING.

Covet:

1. to desire wrongfully, inordinately, or without due regard for the rights of others: to covet another's property.

The illegals covet our country - our property - our jobs, and so on. And they do so without regard for the rights of citizens...the rights to have our laws followed by all, without regard for whether one agrees with said law(s).

The illegals are stealing...they steal jobs (that Americans can and will do); they steal services (that they never paid in to receive); they steal education and other government provided items (as they do not pay their fair share when they live many families to a single family place); and so on.

Explain how this is not stealing in your eyes...

Can I decide that I like your house better, move myself and my family in, demand you also allow me to bring some more of my family with me, demand you pay for my medical, feed me, clothe me, fire your maid so I can clean your house (in return for all you provide because, after all, that's something you won't do for yourself and who cares if you already had a maid, as I deserve to be there), and refuse to leave because I cleaned your house and that gives me rights since I like it better than my own house????? Does that sound right to you?

I don't have to. God clearly says we should follow MAN'S LAW and in this case, man's law would be our immigration laws, which state the illegals have no right to be here.

Every choice a person makes has a consequence of some sort. In this case, the consequence of coming here illegally is being told to leave/go home. The illegals know already that they are here illegally and that the consequence is deportation. If they choose not to leave on their own (which they could do, to avoid a big deportation situation), then they are staying, with full knowledge that they could be deported (as our laws -- man's law) dictates in this situation.

Where is there a Bible verse that says we should write tickets to speeders or arrest drug dealers? Where is the Bible verse that says we can be ticketed and have to pay a fine for not wearing a seatbelt? Or be arrested for driving without insurance? Or for driving while under the influence? Or for being in possession of prescription drugs without a valid prescription?

Those are man's laws. We may not like them or agree with them, but follow them we must!

We can't run willy nilly to another country without going through the proper process, so why do you think we should allow others to do that here?

Well let's wait and see what comes out in court, maybe I will sympathize with them, maybe not. I never believe what I read in the papers and they could well be leaving justification for this fight out. And remember the kids didn't kill him, the pavement did.
