court within 15 days...now that's humanitarian. Why not just immediately deport them ALL! If they can make it 2000 miles from El Salvador and points beyond, they can make it back! There are dangerous places everywhere...including US. Oh, that's right, I forgot, you can't stop a hispanic, that's called racial profiling.

Instead of housing illegal aliens we should be housing our homeless Vets. On any given night there are some 57,000 homeless veterans. They deserve our care before any illegal alien. That's only a small portion of our own citizens who are homeless who are more deserving than illegal aliens.

We certainly would not want to sound like selfish Americans, after all the illegal aliens have shared so much with us. They have educated us in how to close down a hospital, 60 in California alone. They have taught us how to use stolen identities to ruin the credit rating of millions of Americans. They have shared disease, tuberculosis, chagas, leprosy, polio, dengue, plague, and malaria. They have shared their highly artistic Graffiti, junk cars in front yards, trash in front yards, loud music all night, drunken parties, a lesson in how to quickly drive down property values. They have shared with us their knowledge of how an anchor baby can give a firm foothold in the USA. They have shared with us the way to get sympathy “I’m just a poor person who crossed the burning desert to work and give my family a better life". They have shown us the error of our way in not learning to speak a foreign language to get a job in America. They have shared with us the proper way to fly our flag and sing our National Anthem. At the risk of sounding whinny, I have had just about all the unselfish sharing I can stand.

Somehow I get the feeling you claimed your citizenship by means of the same 14th amendment that you disparage.

That is one of my favorite lines of bull on Topix. Nobody has anything against immigrants. Not at all. We love immigrants. Especially the Mexican immigrants.As long as they are legal. It is just those illegal one we don't like. It is all about law and order and absolute respect for any and all laws. The law must always be obeyed and it can never ever be changed. Ever.

Of course that only applies to minor subclauses buried inside of 70,000 pages of US Code.

When it comes to other documents like the US Constitution it is another matter. Those laws are not important and you can ignore them if it fits your agenda.

You overlook the fact the U.S. accepts over 1.5 million legal immigrants from Mexico each year. Far more that any country has ever accepted. Never in history has there been such a wave of human migration as that which is currently occurring from Latin America to the U.S. That's not including illegal immigration. Illegal immigration by far dwarfs legal immigration. And how does the constitution protect illegals? Your twisted logic should be addressed by mental health professionals.

Again you do NOT know what you typing about, these kids are from Central America, NOT mexico. Read and Learn something.
The premise was wrong, and the candidates, along with Anderson Cooper, showed how little they know about the Citizenship Clause of the 14th Amendment. The fact is, anchor babies are not citizens of the United States, and the 14th Amendment does not guarantee citizenship to babies born on American soil.
When Anderson Cooper, or any of these other mistaken individuals, say that children of illegal aliens born in the United States are American citizens, and that by deporting their parents it splits up families, it is proof that their understanding of the language used in the 14th Amendment is either poor, or they have redefined that language.
The Citizenship Clause of the 14th Amendment reads:

“All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”
The term “subject to the jurisdiction, thereof,” is the key, here. If you go to the debates on the congressional record of the 14th Amendment,“full jurisdiction” means in part “full allegiance to America.” Because the illegal alien parents are here illegally, and subject to the jurisdiction of Mexico (or whatever country they came from), a divided loyalty exists - hence, based on the 14th Amendment, the children of illegals (anchor babies) are not citizens.
Since illegal aliens are not subject to the complete jurisdiction of the United States, their children born in the U.S. are not automatically American citizens.

a woman who is nine months pregnant. She's rushed to a south Texas hospital
to undergo a C-section - a $4,700 medical procedure that won't cost her a
dime. She qualifies for emergency Medicaid.

She gave birth to a healthy, 8 1/2 pound baby boy - born in America. His
Mexican mother gave him an American name: Eliot.

Eliot is one of an estimated 300,000 children of illegal immigrants born in
the United States every year, according to the Pew Hispanic Center. They're
given instant citizenship because they are born on U.S. soil, which makes it
easier for their parents to become U.S. citizens.

That's because those babies can eventually sponsor their parents - when they
turn 21 years old.
