No, the only reason immigration reform hasn't passed is because Speaker Boner refuses to bring it up for a vote because he knows it will pass.

So ONE PERSON is preventing immigration reform from being passed into law- Speaker Boner.

If it passes, Boehner and the Republican party will both be history. That's why it won't pass.

It will never pass in the House anyway. Most Republicans know it is bad for our country.

Correct, that's why Speaker Boner won't allow it to come up for a vote. He knows the votes are there to pass it, and by doing so would effectively end the GOPasaurs as a national party. They would just be a minority regional party.

Actually it WOULD pass in the House IF Speaker Boner simply brought it up for a vote.

Republicans no longer support majority rule; not in the House or the Senate. They only support majority rule if THEY are in the majority.

Why would that be? Do you actually think that most Americans want this travesty passed? It is mostly only ethnocentric Hispanics and brain dead bleeding heart liberals that want this anti-American piece of crap passed. So why would the GOP come to end over it?

I didn't say the GOPasaurs would come to an end. I said they would cease to be a viable national party.

The GOPasaurs already lost nearly 100% of the black vote and the gay vote, a large chunk of the female vote, and obviously 100% of the liberals. If they lose the Hispanic vote as well, they'll never win another statewide/national office.

There simply aren't enough conservative white men left.

The GOPasaurs will become a regional party; strong in specific congressional districts in the south & plains states, but unable to win the presidency or control of the Senate.

And YES, polling shows a majority of Americans support immigration reform, including some pathway to citizenship.

Politico has a good article on the issue.

For my Father's sake, please stop hero-worshiping this over-browned buffoon. The single and only reason he's anti-immigration reform is because he's trying everything he can to make sure Obama fails. Even if it means ruining America in the process. Bonehead would rather see America burn if it means Obama fails. Good thing for most of us common sensical folk, Obama has tanned his hide (LOL) every time Boner has tangled with him.

If they do cease to be a viable party it won't be because they stood up for the enforcement of our immigration laws as you are implying.

They may support reform to our legal immigration system but they don't support another amnesty nor a path to citizenship for illegal aliens. Politico? LOL!

I'm not implying it, I'm directly stating it.

Polls show 70% of Americans support comprehensive immigration reform, mostly because they're just tired of having to deal with the whole illegal immigrant issue.

If the GOPasaurs hold the line and refuse any immigration reform including a path to citizenship for the illegals, they WILL lose the overwhelming majority of the Hispanic vote.

That will leave them with straight white conservative men as their only voter base.

Yes, you're getting desperate. Probably because like Speaker Boner you know comprehensive immigration reform would pass and is supported by the majority of Americans, in spite of your continued denial.

Polling indicates they do.

70% support comprehensive immigration reform, including a pathway to citizenship for current illegals.

That's why Boner can't reject the idea outright; he knows that would be the end of the GOP's chances in '14.

So he'll pretend he's open to something just to keep the carrot in front of the Hispanics.

Post your polls then from an unbiased source and how the questions were posed in those polls.

Most Hispanics will never vote GOP anyway because like most minorities they like the socialism of the Democrats. Why does it take thumbing one's nose at our immigration laws to gain the Hispanic vote anyway? Aren't they obligated to honor our immigration laws just like every other American is?

I know plenty of white women that are conservatives so stop with the white men BS. There are also conservatives among every race/ethnic group in this country.

So one wants amnesty because they are tired of dealing with the illegal immigration problem? Amnesty is the only solution?

You couldn't be more wrong. It would not pass in the House and it is not supported by the majority of Americans. Enjoy your fantasy. They may support a reform of our legal immigration system (tweaking it) but they do not support amnesty for illegal aliens. Those who call it "reform" when it actually isn't use words like "reform" to make it seem more palatable to the gullible.
