Just when I thought they couldn't get any more stupid.
Seriously!

I thought the whole pretense of their opposition to equality was to "protect traditional marriage"?

How can you protect traditional marriage by declaring it illegal?

Doesn't make a bit of sense to me, but most of what the far right comes up with doesn't make much sense to me so there's nothing new there.

I don't think they are ever sincere about preserving or protecting anything, Jax.

It's always about being opposed to anything simply because Democrats or liberals are for it. It's about retaliation and reacting with little thought to consequences. The Republican Party appears more foolish with each passing day, and if they don't detach from the extreme lunatics and mindless hayseeds the party is in big trouble and won't occupy the White House for a long time to come.

Another Nevada Republican Leaves The GOP

Days after Nevada's first female lieutenant governor left the GOP, a member of a notable Silver State Republican family is following suit.

The Associated Press reported Friday that lobbyist Neena Laxalt, daughter of former Nevada governor and U.S. Sen. Paul Laxalt (R), decided to register as nonpartisan.

Laxalt's decision comes two days after Nevada Republican Sue Wagner announced she was jumping ship as a "symbol" that she does "not like the Republican Party and what they stand for today."

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/01/31/neen...

66.4% of Nevada residents have an unfavorable view of the republican party.

Colorado considers recognizing same-sex marriages...sort of.

----------

Colorado bill would recognize gay marriage- in taxes only

As Colorado state lawmakers go back into session this week, a proxy fight over gay marriage is brewing in the form a proposed change to Colorado tax law.

A vocal supporter of same-sex marriage, Sen. Pat Steadman (D-Denver) says he has found a way to remove one of the biggest inequalities facing committed gay couples in Colorado: the inability to file joint tax returns.

"Because of the US Supreme court ruling last June, the IRS now recognizes same-sex marriages," Steadman told 9NEWS. "But because of a [state] constitutional prohibition, Colorado does not."

Steadman will introduce a bill this week aimed at allowing same-sex couples a way around that, saying that his proposal merely ensures that Colorado state tax law uses the filing status listed on taxpayers' federal tax returns, regardless of whether the state recognizes the marriages of same-sex couples.

You're ignorant and deranged, out of the last 46 years a dem has been president for only 18 years, 28 years republican. Dems aren't generally trusted, just as America no longer trusts Barry. And Hillary, don't get me started!

Without busboys, dishwashers, car parkers, etc. Nevada would be 100% republican.
