America is taxed by every country we send our products to but we don't taxed them.....no wonder China likes doing business with America.
Yea like in 08 when the failure in chief was running stating he would relook at trade agreements..Never happened..

I asked you which family making less than twenty thousand a year are getting thirty thousand in subsidies which you maneuvered around with your reply. I am making over twenty thousand a year now, and have no family, but some of the people I work with are not and have dependents Unwed mothers often work at low paying jobs and need assistance, but they are still working. You seem to think anyone who doesn't make more is to blame for their situation and lump all in the same group. There are plenty of working poor who's children get free breakfasts in the school I work in and their parents often work at jobs that offer no medical coverage of any kind. If they can they too pay for medical service and do whenever possible. You can live in your ivory tower and talk about how hard pressed you are, but I am in the same situation and I don't choose to see those who are fortunate enough to get some sort of assistance as anything but that. Why don't you direct your attacks at the wealthy who get all sorts of breaks and pay little if any taxes each year. They're more the problem than any poor family scratching by on whatever they can get.
Are those unwed mother's receiving child support??

With hardly anything to show for the hundreds of millions spent on the 2012 General Election,
The Old Kochs' are at it again.

As long as they're willing to spend their money, there will be those willing to take it and waste it.
The Koch Empire needs new advisers IMO......

Do creepy anti-Obamacare ads defile an icon?

Featuring a bizarre Uncle Sam figure, the commercials are coming under fire from liberals as debasing a national figurehead.

Here's a tip for marketers: If you're seeking to sway public opinion, transforming a beloved national icon into a creepy pervert probably isn't the best tactic.

Unfortunately for one self-described "free-thinking" group, it's created nightmare-inducing commercials that aim to persuade young people to skip signing up for health-care coverage via Obamacare.

While the staff of the group, Generation Opportunity, mostly appears to be in their 20s, it's bankrolled by brothers David and Charles Koch, who are both in their 70s and known for their ultra-conservative views.

In one spot, a leering Uncle Sam pops up between the legs of a young woman seeking an gynecological exam, while in a second ad a young man is accosted by the same Uncle Sam figure, this time snapping on a latex glove to give him a rectal exam.

The tagline is "Don't let government play doctor." But the commercials are so bad that they may backfire, causing young viewers to shrug them off as the worst kind of fear-mongering.

For liberals, the Koch-bankrolled group has crossed a line by transforming the beloved national icon into something that might warrant a call to a sex-crimes unit, notes Advertising Age.

"Generation Opportunity's new online ad... not only defiles our American mascot but disturbingly compared the ACA to sexual assault," Ilyse Hogue, the president of pro-choice advocacy group NARAL, said in a statement.

Salon called the ads a "new nadir" which reaches "the limits of decency."

To be sure, it's not clear how widely the ads will be seen, given that they're not pegged to run on TV. Currently, the spots are available on YouTube and will soon run on Hulu and Pandora (P -10.11%), AdAge notes.

And one person's sex offender is another person's humorous icon. Fox News, for one, called them "funny" and "hysterically creepy."

Whether the message persuades young Americans to give up health care coverage remains to be seen. In the meantime, the Koch brothers and their creepy Uncle Sam aren't offering any viable alternatives, and the Affordable Care Act's health-care exchanges will open for enrollment on Oct. 1.

A family of four, mom and dad with their two sons receive a letter in the mail about their health insurance.
The letter stated since the new HR bill will soon kick in, their premium will go up from $333. monthly to $900 plus.
They let the reporter view their letter and the premium which was $333. and the increased amt. which is $900 plus.
They beg to differ with the propaganda Obama is spreading about the new HR bill.
The young man said he and wife were healthy and their two boys 9 and 10 were also healthy....so why is their such a triple increase?
My answer.......OBAMA and his socialist agenda.

well, E, I don't know as they actually 'teach classes' BUT I do know that word of mouth is King!
it IS self-evident that the vey same people that can't muster the smarts to get an education (HS or otherwise) are smart enough to 1) get by and 2) GET OVER.
take my example, for instance: the mother obviously 'instructed' the daughter on How to Get Housing Assistance. my co-worker has several sisters and cousins and etc... he therefore has access to much first-hand info on the ins and outs of the various systems.
as per HC ins: my co-worker's daughter is/will be 15 yrs old. he has been emloyed since before her birth WITH HCins available. he has NEVER had his daughter on HIS ins plan.
between the two extremes, my case of getting married and providing for my WIFE and kids since the age of 19(or, her having Family coverage thru her employer... we both had Family coverage for no more than 1 yr during these past 42 years!) and the guy that NEVER provided even pampers! for his kid(s), my co-worker falls somewhere in the middle: never married his baby momma and never even used HER address as his own!
he even made the comment not too long ago, that once HIS daughter is thru HS, he may be GONE. I told him growing old alone is/would be a bitch... look at our other two co-workers.
in many, many areas, he and I share the same POV... just not about the importance of marriage and Middle Class values as pertains to Family and related MALE responsibilites.
his lifestyle is like a window into a foreign world sometimes. while I was in the Army and even stationed overseas for 3 1/2 years in the Middle East, those people shared the SAME Family Values as I and my peers: marriage and parental responsibilities, etc...
I wonder, does the US military recognize shack-jobs and play spouses or do they REQUIRE a marriage lic? I mean, TODAY...
is the military the LAST bastion of Traditional Middle Class Values?
now, if same-sex marriages are gonna be accorded the same 'respect', what's next? this IS a serious point now that the 'slippery slope' has been started DOWN....
think about it: the 'chain' that joins past generations of such Values to the present and future generations is ONLY as strong as its weakest links. many, many links in Traditional MC Values have been eroded in the last 50-60 years... and now most recently with same-sex marriage FG recognition.
stay frosty...
Sure they do go to any food bank (church) and see them signing people up for food stamps and cash assistance programs.. Hell a while back NTR used to post what someone on SSI had to attempt to get to keep their SSI.. Wasn't it not long ago AARP was also trying to get seniors on foodstamps as well?? YUP here it is..

you certainly did NOT vote against the Executive-In-Charge of fostering those SAME, decades old policies, did you?lol

remember the Misery Index?
remember 20% interest rates?
you do know, NTR, that you can voluntarily pay MORE taxes to the govt entity of your choice... if you truly believe your own BS post that we don't pay enough/too much.lol
let me know, tho, when you can pay AND TELL THE GOVT where/how to spend your portion, okay?
now, THERE'S an option I think 75-90% of ALL taxpayers would like to have!:)
can anyone imagine a Federal Budget limited to 10% going to charity? that's all the Church thinks is required, ain't it?
btw, still waiting for your vote on the 'pass it to see what's in it' question... can't believe you don't have an opinion about that one...

remember 20% interest rates?"

He appoints Immelt, the King of outsourcing, to run his jobs council and you complain about outsourcing. Too freakin funny.
The elephant in the room, once again is Entitlements, which you would like to ignore. Focus.
Defense is actually only one of the few responsibilities the Feds actually have and Obama is fucking that up as well.
The only reason he would be trying to shift the focus now on jobs is cause his failure over syria.. Haven't you seen him doing that almost 6 years now??

Sorry. I'm replying here to my own post just to add a little more information about the visualization map which you can access by clicking on the link above in the previous post:

The map was created by John Voorheis, a graduate student at the University of Oregon, and was passed along by Mark Thoma of Economist's View. More specifically, the map shows the change in Gini coefficients — a measure of income inequality — within states over time.

One notable trend here: The Deep South, as well as New York and California, saw the fastest growth in income inequality over time. Eventually, though, all states start shading green by the late 2000s as inequality grows. The financial crisis, in particular, saw a sharp rise in income inequality.

Why is this happening? Back in 2011, the Congressional Budget Office investigated the rise in U.S. income inequality between 1979 and 2007 and concluded that it was driven by two big trends.

First, business income has become more heavily concentrated at the top, likely due to the growth of high incomes in privately owned professional firms such as law, medicine, and finance.

Second, capital income — dividends, rental income — has become much more unequally distributed as well.
