White House spokesman Jay Carney said last month that laws proposed by Obama would not “take away a gun from a single law-abiding American.”
Only because they can't...yet.

Washington State lawmakers propose a law for Sheriff to "inspect" homes annually if they own an assault weapon. This is unquestionably unconstitutional.

The Fourth Amendment CLEARLY states:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

What voters don't want are cuts to programs to the extent that individual states start increasing taxes on the working poor and middle class in order to provide essential services which were once covered by Federal programs that are being cut.
Your use of the adjective "essential" to describe services is open to serious debate.

With Obamacare as the main culprit, everyone who pays taxes will see them raised due to democrat (yes, that means Obama's) policies.

Whether these tax hikes are at the state or federal level remains to be seen. My bet is both as long as the left is running the show.

Actually you seem to be doing a bit of the old "bait and switch".
Better than sticking to a losing argument I guess.
My argument was related to who is responsible for sequestration. NTR was pointing out Obama's desire to replace sequester with a plan to also increase revenues.

Although both are clearly regarding sequestration, we are referring to two separate issues.

No "bait and switch" involved.

Sequestration Transparency Act of 2012(driven by obama)
(there's also one for 2011, if the libtarded care to look. Most wingnutbaggers already KNOW what its about. They are nutty that way from LOVE for their country)
(P. L. 112–155)
Introduction
The Sequestration Transparency Act of 2012 (STA)(P.L. 112-155) requires the President
to submit to Congress a report on the potential sequestration triggered by the failure of the
Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction to propose, and Congress to enact, a plan to reduce
the deficit by $1.2 trillion, as required by the Budget Control Act of 2011 (BCA). In response,
the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is issuing this report based on assumptions
required by the STA. The report provides Congress with a breakdown of exempt and
non-exempt budget accounts, an estimate of the funding reductions that would be required
across non-exempt accounts, an explanation of the calculations in the report, and additional
information on the potential implementation of the sequestration.[Requested by the LIBTARDEDs messiah]

You should.
Everyone knows that Tea Party revolutionaries fear and hate socialism about as much as the Antichrist. Which is funny, because the Tea Party movement’s dirty little secret is that it owes its existence to the grandaddy of all Antichrists: the godless empire of the USSR.
What few realize is that the secretive oil billionaires of the Koch family, the main supporters of the right-wing groups that orchestrated the Tea Party movement, would not have the means to bankroll their favorite causes had it not been for the pile of money the family made working for the Bolsheviks in the late 1920s and early 1930s, building refineries, training Communist engineers and laying down the foundation of Soviet oil infrastructure.
Here is a better historical fact, one that the Kochs don’t like to repeat in public: the family’s initial wealth was not created by the harsh, creative forces of unfettered capitalism, but by the grace of the centrally-planned economy of the Soviet Union. This deserves repeating: The Koch family, America’s biggest pushers of the free-market Tea Party revolution, would not be the billionaires they are today were it not for the whim of one of Stalin’s comrades.
Poor "communist" teabagger.
How dare you speak the truth about the tea baggers.
