<quoted text>I don't accept tax inequality. Apparently you do. The working class get the shaft. I'm on their side. You kiss azz for the wealthy. I'm not too worried about them.
I paid my dues and earned my retirement. I worked damned hard for many years and raised a family - provided for them. I earned my free time to do as I please these days. I still have a lot of work to do - lots coming right up soon.
I never suggested we should be equal financially. What I do suggest is that the wealthy are not more special than those who work for a salary or a wage, and I resent special tax code that advantages them to the tune of the greatest income inequality and wealth disparity in America since the Great Depression and still growing daily. You're an idiot. Enjoy it. Serve the kings and queens. I'll go my own way. I'm neither ignorant, indolent, lazy or a slacker. I STILL don't like the way it's going in America. I'm a lucky woman who appreciates the opportunities she has had and wants them around for my grandchildren. From what I see, it's getting tougher all the time.
Ur lying again, I don't kiss anyone's ass , the "wealthy" you resent and loathe already pay the majority of the taxes, the "poor" pay essentially nothing. Your desired system of wealth redistribution is doomed to failure, many nexamples of it, the USSR, Cuba, N. Korea, China.,

I'm an idiot? Because I don't agree with you?

Ur ill mannered and rude, a name caller, in short a POS, a typical phony liberal who knows she has no argument and starts the name calling.

You lose, loser.

I hate that the left is trying to turn America into a socialist state that punishes success and rewards sloth.
That's just plain dumb. See above referenced article.

Who's trying to turn America into a "socialist state?" I don't see that happening at all. Do you even know what socialism is?

Who's punishing success and rewarding sloth? Sounds like a very general and ignorant opinion to me.

The "left" is doing either of those things.

Actually, those of us with a brain have given up trying to remind those on the far right why we are where we are.
Driving in the wrong direction really fast for eight long years takes time to get back to the right path. Especially with a right wing controlled house of representatives who refuse to get back on the bus and get moving.
Every single issue that the extreme right wing has raised since President Obama was first elected were problems for the entirety of the eight years that the republicans controlled all three branches of government yet they did absolutely nothing about them.
Illegal immigration, border security, out of control government spending, health care costs, crime, voter fraud, national debt, housing markets, fraud, intrusive government, loss of property owners rights, defrauding the public trust and the list goes on and on and on...
...but, it would do no good trying to explain any of this to someone who refuses to accept reality so we simply taunt and tease those idiots with wit and wisdom and allow them to make fools of themselves on a public forum.
Here's some reality for you, which of course you'll deny:

Al Lewis, business writer for the WSJ

"Obama and the feds have printed trillions since 2008 keeping interest rates near zero and saving the biggest banks from failure, re inflated the stock market, and helped companies and investments groups hoard cash. Despite this unprecedented action the unemployment rate has stayed depressingly high."

So, what we have is failure on the part of Obama to do anything except enrich the upper crust of society while millions have not benefited one bit.

How much of the printed trillions did you get?

Interesting article, X. Sure makes sense to me and seems so obvious, especially considering the apparent lack of intelligence among some of the extreme right-wing posters here.
"There's no gentle way to put it: People who give in to racism and prejudice may simply be dumb, according to a new study that is bound to stir public controversy.
The research finds that children with low intelligence are more likely to hold prejudiced attitudes as adults."
I agree.

More:

"the next best idea of what to do with their piles of cash? Mergers and acquisitions, sure to result in more job losses"

Al Lewis

How will that help the unemployed? Or does Obama really only care about the big corporations?

Obama is failing the common folk, the evidence is clear.

My argument was related to who is responsible for sequestration. NTR was pointing out Obama's desire to replace sequester with a plan to also increase revenues.
Although both are clearly regarding sequestration, we are referring to two separate issues.
No "bait and switch" involved.

..........

QUOTE: Phil Gramm:“It was never the objective of [GRH] to trigger the sequester; the objective of [GRH] was to have the threat of the
sequester force compromise and action.”

..........

Once again, I refer you to Ezra Klein's rebuttal. The Sequester was the only game in town at the time - short of defaulting on our obligations, and it was used as a tool to bring both Dems and Pubs back to the table to finish what they seemed incapable of completing in time to avoid default. The election was a referendum on which approach Americans wanted to pursue: Republicans' no new tax pledge or the President's plan to include increased revenues as well as cuts to programs. We weighed in and voted in favor of the President's approach. Apparently, nobody got the message to the Republicans as to what we preferred. Obviously, you're but another example of failure to comprehend that mandate. Consequently, should Sequestration take place, Republicans will bear the fallout for their failure to uphold the will of the voters. Wait and see.

Obama succeeds by standing still

There’s a lot to be said for winning. As James Fallows predicted months ago in The Atlantic, getting re-elected gives the weight and validation of success to Obama’s past policies. He succeeds by standing still: He is ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, so far without the dire costs that many predicted; the economy is recovering, as the financial markets tell us every day, not just in America but in Europe, too.

Obama’s minimum wage proposal a stealth pay raise for unions

If President Obama succeeds in raising the minimum wage law, he’ll have given many unions an automatic pay increase, a new report shows.
