We have problem in America! Wth will ever be solved!
Btw, I agree with all else you said.
It's a supply and demand issue. Cut off supply of welfare checks and the demand for drugs will wither up.
OR, DEMAND urinalysis screening for all recipients. Fail a pee, lose your fee.

Just where is ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLl this money "parked"? A mattress? An old tin box under an oak tree? Coffee can buried in the back yard?

It's in one of several places: Savings accounts used to loan to folks to, I don't know, start a BUSINESS.
Maybe Municipal CDs that local governments are using?
Maybe stocks for other companies to use?

As for the companies record profits, they are exercising caution of investment until they know for sure that the builder of all wealth is out of the White House and those profits don't get lost in the coming depression brought on by the great and powerful community organizer.

You don't have a clue, do you? Where did I mention ANYTHING about athletes being conservative or liberals? Did this have anything to do with who gives more to who? You totally missed the entire point and read something into it that wasn't even there. Are the voices in your head being a little too loud today?
The moral of this whole post? Let no good deed go unpunished. Yep, let's tax the crap out of a person that dedicates his/her entire life to this moment of competition and the honor of accomplishment. My poke at liberals was that they say the elite aren't "paying their fair share." But, why should I have bothered since I have to explain everything to you in the most basic of terms. Even then, you don't get it.
Just ignore her. She lies all the time about what we are saying yet no liberal will take her to task for it. Therefore, they are all shoveling it in with record speed.

You went to an obama rally last week? How did both of you like it there?
Actually, Fish, it was a very heartening experience. We ended up having to all smoosh together and drag more chairs in since the attendance was way more than was expected. And such positive outlooks by all! As an experiment, I'm going to a Romney rally when I can to compare the crowd. I'm sure I'll be highly entertained by the mouth breathing, knuckle draggers in their Confederate flag hats.

This article is an opinion by U.S. Rep Marsha Blackburn. She also said that Obamacare would lead to lost jobs. She lied about this also.

"Marsha Blackburn says health-care law will lead to loss of 1,000 of 10,000 medical-device industry jobs in her district"

"...Blackburn exaggerates the number of medical device manufacturing jobs in her district and in the state while citing a free-market advocate’s 2009 study that says 1,000 jobs could be lost statewide.

Some of the assumptions made by The Manhattan Institute study have been questioned, and the provisions of the bill itself mean there’s little reason to suspect there would be much off-shoring based on the excise tax. There is also no consensus on how much demand might drop for medical devices produced in Tennessee based on pricing.

Taking into account that Blackburn’s office acknowledges she made a mistake in saying "congressional district" rather than "state," we rate the statement Mostly False."
http://www.politifact.com/tennessee/statement...

I'm sure Ms. Blackburn's newest statement will be proven false also.

Where is all this money parked? Well, here's a good example for you:

"Among other things, the records showed that Romney had made $45 million in income over the past two years, even though he wasn’t actually working, and that his effective tax rate for 2010 had been just 13.9 percent. Investments in Swiss bank accounts and offshore holdings in the Cayman Islands and Bermuda were also revealed."

That's illustrative of where a LOT of money is parked - offshore in avoidance of the tax man. Or, there's this:

(Reuters)- IRS data suggests that, globally, U.S. nonfinancial companies hold at least three times more cash and other liquid assets than the Federal Reserve reports, idle money that could be creating jobs, funding dividends or even paying a stiff federal penalty tax for hoarding corporate cash. The Fed's latest Flow of Funds report showed that U.S. nonfinancial companies held $1.7 trillion in liquid assets at the end of March. But newly released IRS figures show that in 2009 these companies held $4.8 trillion in liquid assets, which equals $5.1 trillion in today's dollars, triple the Fed figure.(Cont.)

It's a thankless task, but somebody has to do it. Just consider me a volunteer in the effort to correct mean spirited thinking:

Idle cash piles up

...For investors, companies holding 11.3 percent of their assets in cash lowers returns. Did you buy shares of American Widget so executives could park profits in savings accounts?

For workers, idle cash means idle hands and minds. With one in five Americans unemployed or underemployed, and real median wages in 2010 back down to the level of 1999, this is no time for capital to go on an extended holiday.

For taxpayers, untaxed profits subtly reduce corporate tax burdens and increase the tax burden on individuals. Because taxes owed on offshore profits are not adjusted for inflation, they depreciate at the rate of inflation. That means a double whammy for taxpayers as government pays interest on money it borrows while its accounts receivable from multinational corporations lose value.(Cont.)

Money parked and not invested in economic growth. That would be the short answer. It involves a lot of men - not just one. Look to the suits in Congress and the lobbyists who influence our legislation that permits them to profit at our misery.

Just more baseless class envy. Again you ignore that these corporations that you hate so much actually employ individuals, pay taxes and purchase supplies and materials. In short they produce.
The poor on the other hand employ no one, pay no federal taxes but use the majority of social programs funded by federal taxes, purchase good and services with money earned by others. In short they produce very little if anything.
Apparently, this is your new mantra: "Just more baseless class envy." Where in my post is there baseless class envy? Point it out specifically.

I don't envy the wealthy. I spent enough of my life around wealthy people to know that they have their share of problems and insecurities and fears too. 1) They suffer guilt at their enormous financial wealth often questioning whether or not they deserve it, 2) They spend an inordinate amount of time fearing they will lose it in some market manipulation to the extent of paranoia, 3) They are given to wondering if anybody anywhere in the world really loves them for themselves, and 4) They are frequently work driven to the exclusion of social relations and people skills. They put their undies on the same way everybody else does. They get dandruff and consult the people around them about what to do about it. They are preoccupied with their health and death because somewhere deep inside they think that all of this is "too good to be true" and something BAD is sure to happen. They appear to be "better than" while actually being filled with self doubts. They are just human beings. A home in Aspen may or may not bring any happiness. It's another possession. And, they are as jealous of others as anybody. The goal is to accumulate the most money, because they are limited to their peer group which is pretty much along the lines of coveting thy neighbor's stuff. It's not about the money. It's about winning the game. Now, buzz off with your insanity.

What you fail to account for is the fact that these evil corporations that you love to hate actually contribute to the country and the economy, so in the grand scheme of things we are getting a return on the “corporate welfare” you like to decry. On the flip side the “poor” offer no return on the charity that they receive and they contribute nothing to the country or the economy. And before you display your ignorance by saying that they purchase goods and services which contribute, need I remind you that they are spending money given to them by the real contributors in the country, who I am sure would rather spend their money themselves.
You claim that people want to grab back from the poor, when in fact the poor have nothing to offer except their demands for more welfare. Again your words betray who you really are. Just another socialist loser who could not figure out how to succeed on their own in life, who now directs their anger and envy, at those who have succeeded.
You are a sad sad person.
I agree - you go Bubba! Why not just round them up and load them into cattle cars? And while we're at it, why not turn this country into that great GOPer dream of a Corporacracy!
