Obama’s Place in History: Great, Good, Average, Mediocre or Poor?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/monkey-ca...
A president’s historical reputation begins during a successful campaign — demonstrating his election skills, his promise as a president, and the promises he makes to the public about his policy ambitions and how he will govern once in office. It develops most fully during his time in office — a function of the promises he kept and abandoned, the domestic conditions he faced, international circumstances and the decisions he made regarding them. A president’s patterns of leadership are reflected in these accumulated choices. History leavens these judgments. Some presidents, such as Harry S. Truman, look better on reflection; others, such as Richard M. Nixon, continuously carry their opprobrium with them.

The issue is, when the director of an IRS bureau is called to testify about her work she must plead against self incrimination. Obama has failed to run transparent and non corrupt government; the issue isn't Issa's management of the committee hearing.

Don't let the mainstream news fool you, they have an agenda. Call on your representatives to clean up the IRS, find out how the Tea Party was targeted and who leaked NOM's tax records to their political enemies.

Bolton:‘Our Biggest National-Security Problem Is Barack Obama’
By Eliana Johnson
March 6, 2014 11:02 AM

With the Obama administration grappling with a crisis in Ukraine, former United Nations ambassador John Bolton took the stage at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday and declared that the country’s “biggest national-security problem is Barack Obama.”

Bolton honed in on the terror attack in Benghazi, Libya, which he described as paradigm of President Obama’s foreign-policy failures because the president “has done nothing to avenge Chris Stevens’s death.”

“That is a terrible lesson for our adversaries,” Bolton said.“Under Barack Obama you can murder his personal representative and get away scot-free.”

He also warned that the matter will come back to haunt Hillary Clinton if, as most suspect, she launches a presidential bid in 2016.“We will be happy to tell Hillary Clinton in unmistakable terms,‘We know what difference it makes, even if you don’t,’” he said.

Bolton, who has established a political-action committee to support hawkish House and Senate candidates, bristled at the reluctance of Republican politicians in recent years to back foreign interventions and characterized the shift as a “resurgence of isolationism.”

“Ignoring our national security is the Obama doctrine,” he told the crowd.

Lies The Government Told You / March 5, 2010

Author: Judge Andrew Napolitano / http://tinyurl.com/ykdwxlc /

Judge Andrew Napolitano has created a great book with Lies The Government Told You. He has put into writing what many of us have long suspected…our government has been lying to use for years about almost everything it has ever done. If you think our government is crooked and power hungry, you will realize just how crooked it is when you read this book. Lies The Government Told You is scary as hell to be truthful. I didn’t find a single thing that I disagreed with. It’s almost unbelievable how far our Nation has moved from the Constitution. While I don’t watch much news anymore (I find most so called “journalists” to be either too frightened or too stupid to ask real questions that actually matter) I see enough to keep up with the major stories. I was glad to see Napolitano mention the failure of the national media as well in the book. Lies The Government Told You will really open your eyes to how broken our government is, not just because it’s virtually bankrupt, but because it fails to uphold the constitution and protect the very citizens that fund it. You will also learn that the Federal Reserve isn’t a “federal” entity. It’s a private corporation that controls all our money with little or no oversight. There used to be a joke that if Alan Greenspan happened to comment how nasty a rainy day was, the stock market would drop fifty points. It doesn’t sound far-fetched when you realize how much power the Federal Reserve actually has. I wold love to see this book as required reading in any government class. It truly does open your mind to the countless ways we as citizens have failed to protect our own freedoms by allowing such actions to occur time and time again. If you can still vote for most politicians after reading this, I can only hope they have also read the book. All Americans should be both shocked and ashamed at our government for these lies. We should remember these actions the next time we vote, though another big problem is the lack of choices on the ballot. Let’s be honest, how many times have you voted for the lesser of two evils? I highly recommend this book for everyone. If millions read it and understand how far we have fallen, maybe there is still hope that we can get our government and our constitutional rights back.

Eventually, they'll either find a viable party with whom to identify, or they'll be part of a movement of independent voters to establish a new party that CAN compete. That won't happen overnight.
The problem I have with your "truths" is that you aren't much different than anybody else complaining about the obvious corruption and rule of plutocrats, corporatists and the ascent of Oligarchy. We haven't formed a unified front to fight it because we're too divided. Consequently, it's baby steps each and every election, and very importantly, it's keeping the www open to free expression and opposing views.
The other night my niece asked me why I was reading FOX news because I had posted a photo of Matthew McConaughey along with a link to his Oscar acceptance speech. I had actually pulled that from a Yahoo news feed that had taken it from a FOX news photo, but that was beside the point. I reserve the right to read EVERYBODY'S news - including those sites I believe misinform and distort. How would I know what I'm trying to counter if I don't know what some are being fed by obtaining their daily dose of garbage from those so-called news organizations. Even the liberal sites put a slant on things that need to be considered and put into perspective and verified before you accept them. Somewhere in between lies the "truth" as best you can glean it from whatever access to information the press is able to achieve.
For now, it is still a matter of electing the lesser of two evils aside from what grass roots efforts can yield at the local and state levels in electing independents not already bought. Put your efforts there for the greatest future impact. JMO

Judge Andrew Napolitano says Bush and Cheney should be prosecuted for crimes against the United States Constitution.
The Libertarian commentator debates politics, history and what he considers to be the unconstitutional behavior of both the Bush and Obama administrations, with consumer advocate and four-time presidential candidate Ralph Nader.
June 2, 2010 / http://tinyurl.com/kpno7e7

Well, this is something you don't see every day. Ralph Nader hosted this interview segment with Fox News' Judge Andrew Napolitano and discussed his book, Lies the Government Told You. I'm surprised the judge is going to be allowed on Fox after making the statements he did about Bush and Cheney during the interview.

Nader: What's the sanction for President Bush and Vice President Cheney?

Napolitano: There's been no sanction except what history will say about them.

Nader: What should be the sanctions?

Napolitano: They should have been indicted. They absolutely should have been indicted for torturing, for spying, for arresting without warrants. I'd like to say they should be indicted for lying but believe it or not, unless you're under oath, lying is not a crime. At least not an indictable crime. It's a moral crime.

Nader: So you think George W. Bush and Dick Cheney should even though they've left office, they haven't escaped the criminal laws, they should be indicted and prosecuted?

Napolitano: The evidence in this book and in others, our colleague the great Vincent Bugliosi has amassed an incredible amount of evidence. The purpose of this book was not to amass that evidence but I do discuss it, is overwhelming when you compare it to the level of evidence required for a normal indictment that George W. Bush as President and Dick Cheney as Vice President participated in criminal conspiracies to violate the federal law and the guaranteed civil liberties of hundreds, maybe thousands of human beings

==========

The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder
by Vincent Bugliosi / May 9, 2008 / http://tinyurl.com/yjwxsea
There is direct evidence that President George W. Bush did not honorably lead this nation, but deliberately misled it into a war he wanted. Bush and his administration knowingly lied to Congress and to the American public -- lies that have cost the lives of more than 4,000 young American soldiers and close to $1 trillion.
A Monumental Lie

In his first nationally televised address on the Iraqi crisis on October 7, 2002, six days after receiving the National Intelligence Estimate (NIE), a classified CIA report, President Bush told millions of Americans the exact opposite of what the CIA was telling him -a monumental lie to the nation and the world.

On the evening of October 7, 2002, the very latest CIA intelligence was that Hussein was not an imminent threat to the U.S. This same information was delivered to the Bush administration as early as October 1, 2002, in the NIE, including input from the CIA and 15 other U.S. intelligence agencies. In addition, CIA director George Tenet briefed Bush in the Oval Office on the morning of October 7th.

According to the October 1, 2002 NIE, "Baghdad for now appears to be drawing a line short of conducting terrorist attacks with conventional or CBW [chemical and biological warfare] against the United States, fearing that exposure of Iraqi involvement would provide Washington a stronger case for making war." The report concluded that Hussein was not planning to use any weapons of mass destruction; further, Hussein would only use weapons of mass destruction he was believed to have if he were first attacked, that is, he would only use them in self-defense.
